CEO Tim Sweeney has cited a "downturn in Fortnite engagement" as one of the main reasons for the cuts, alongside "industry-wide challenges."

Rocket Racing, Fortnite Ballistic, and Fortnite Festival Battle Stage will also go offline in the next month.

Multiple game studios have recently closed because their titles couldn't compete with established live-service games like Fortnite. Meanwhile, you can also literally work on Fortnite and get laid off and Tim Sweeney remains a billionaire.

Something has to change. The time is now.
