Not long ago I read The Vampire Lastat. I watched the recent TV show and decided it was time to do a deep dive. I'll say I like it better than Interview with a Vampire. I enjoyed the lore a lot and having a character with a name like Tough Cookie is always a plus in my opinion.

I hate when I figure out an ending which is most of the time. I think you’re right when you say overall. There were parts that I was like ummm okay, but overall I enjoyed it.
If the first 10 minutes annoyed you that much then I doubt you’d like any of it. There are 5 characters that grew on me over the episodes but at first they can be off putting till you get into their backstories.
