In general, looking at Horikoshi’s art has inspired me to draw better. It’s so pleasing to look at. I really love it.

I really do think hands are really interesting to draw, and I have a feeling I too would enjoy drawing hands if I knew how to which is why I’m trying so hard to draw good hands.

Yesterday I read an interview between Horikoshi and Hokazono and they talked about Hori’s love for drawing hands, and how it inspired Hokazono to pay closer attention as well. I felt inspired, so I’m trying really hard to draw better hands.

While watching Your Lie in April, I made a comparison to the piano contest and umamusume to my friend and the entire episode I’ve been so invested because of that it’s so much more interesting now.

Sometimes I come back and listen to the cover. It was one of the first few times I ever heard it, so I think that cover was the reason why I grew so attached to the song.

Yesterday I finished watching my hero academia and found out it was also the tenth anniversary yesterday too. I didn’t even plan for that but it’s a cool coincidence.

It is also worth mentioning that a couple weeks ago they were playing In the Thick of It and I seriously thought nothing would ever top that one. I was super wrong.

I couldn’t even finish one of my sets without breaking into laughter because it was genuinely so funny

I forgot my airpods today before I went to the gym, so I was subjected to hear the music they decided to play. I never thought I’d unironically describe a song as “bacteria music” but for lack of a better word, that’s the only way I can describe what they were playing today.

It’s not perfect yet., it’s still extremely rough around the edges and god it takes so LONG to get right, but it’s still a step in the right direction.

—other ways to color my drawings. I looked at a buncha artists whose style I liked and came with a general feel of what style i wanna color in. This is the result of that search. If I’m being honest, that drawing was more or less a test to get a grasp at my new coloring style. I suppose I succeeded.

Since I started drawing digitally, I’ve always done my best to imitate Akutami’s coloring style because I was really fond of it. Then last year after arguably the closest I’ve ever gotten to doing that, I realized it didn’t fit the style I envisioned, so since then I’ve been testing out a number of—

I just saw a video of someone doing something with their setup barely visible (it was unrelated to the video lol) and it just reminded of my own setup and I think it’s funny so I decided to share that fact right now.

Fun cheeve fact: my drawing setup up for the past 4 years has been a crummy laptop in front of me with my tablet in between my legs while I sit on my bed. I’ve destroyed my ankles like this and I don’t intend to fix it any time soon lol.
