it isnt a collapse if they play badly for over half the year. it is just a bad team. why do we have to keep going over this?

heβll be fine managing the team after the trade deadline!
oops youβre*
idk why anyone in their right mind thought this was a playoff contender even before the awful streak but thanks for coming to my ted talk
agreed. i think if the stance was the core didnt get it done they should have moved the whole core (i would have kept alvy bcs he is still cheap.) a whole team of castoffs would have played better than these guys.
as soon as they hit, the pitching will fall apart
im looking forward to the trade deadline!
nah i hope he gets better soon but i was against resigning him
your welcome. i sincerely hope the marlins win the division and both phillies and mets are buried by june
doesnt this happen with every dodgers big money reliever tho? it is a pattern for sure
i wish him the best, hust wish it wasnt with atl hahahah
yes you may have to tank for a few years but you know what - i bet a whole team of castoffs would have played better than these guys.
agree to disagree. if you dont think signing the second best closer and hitter on the market are big FA signings you have beyond unrealistic expectations.
if the FO stance is the core didnt get it done, then move the whole core and build around juan soto.
well maybe it is time for me to just buy crimson desert and play that all summer!
yes me too even tho i love watching lindor. i suspect they tried and couldnt get very much back? i also wonder if that has anything to do with the lindor captain thing? they couldnt make him captain if they were going to try to move his contract?
diaz was suspended for it in the past
Itβs pretty funny how the only scenario in which the Mets would be in a worse position than the one theyβre in right now is the one in which they make the fans happy by keeping all the old favorites.
no sticky stuff?
the nibbling moves have been the best moves! sevy, manaea (the first time), iggy, toby
eh they made the playoffs by one game and got hot when there were no expectations. last year they lost the playoff spot by one game. i would argue that with this payroll there should be a little more certainty. heβs trying to make βbig marketβ moves instead of working they way he did in milwaukee.
im not even sure if bo can be traded. would he even waive the player option to get off this team?
i agree but only bcs i wanted a rebuild and i dont think they should have signed any big free agents ha!
he didnt want to dh.
i was fine with the offseason moves but they needed a real rebuild not papering over the holes
and signing manaea and montas
yeah he needs to go back to how he used to work in milwaukee instead of all these βbig marketβ moves. tho im sure some of this is cohen wanting big moves. i was fine with moving pete jeff and brandon just needed a true rebuild - they should have moved everyone else and made this sotos team
i was gonna say that they cant unless they get under the cohen tax but i think the first 6 are protected and cant be moved back. maybe you are right!
diaz sucks too have you seen him pitch?
positioning on that hit was problematic - should have been a ground out
well i wanted them to do a rebuild this year - but i didnt expect it to happen this way. also didnt expect them to be this bad. my preseason guess was 78 wins but this is even worse than that.
conforto revenge i cant take this
