One thing I hate abt LLMs in coding is that it's MUCH harder to go into flow state. in between being bewildered by it's outputs every time, waiting for it to finish answering, etc etc. I just can't sit down and do it for hours non-stop without instinctively pickip up my phone between prompts.

Don’t get me wrong. LLMs are an extremely impressive technology. At a technical level genAI is VERY cool. But people trust it WAY too much. I guess that’s what happens when all executives like are yes-men and psycophants- something LLMs excel at.

Related to this, these skills or MCP stuffs (which are just .md files with a fancy name) are the exact same as the script handed to the actor.
The difference is the actor knows it’s just acting. The LLM doesn’t even know the concept of knowing because it’s a glorified text predictor.
I see LLMs as really good actors. To a layman, Dr House and Shawn Murphy sound like geniuses. But I’m also aware that it’s just actors playing a role and even tho they do a phenomenal job at it, I’d never trust them to do any medical work on me. LLMs are just really good at playing a role.
There’s a massive difference between using AI to solve a problem vs using it to generate a solution.
The output looks the same, but the growth is worlds apart. Sadly, it seems most people are settling for the shortcut and missing the true value of AI.

Usually Mexico is worse in terms of corruption but our federal consumer protection agency is one of the few working parts of our govt and I’m impressed we’re better than the US in that aspect. Though it’s more apparent when fueled by thousands of BTS fans angry about their tickets lol.
