Data Analysis for Social Science An ideal textbook for complete beginners—teaches from scratch R, statistics, and the fundamentals of quantitative social science

As the main textbook, I chose "Data Analysis for Social Science" by @ellaudet.bsky.social and Kosuke Imai. I loved how this book introduced topics like causal inference and included accessible R code, with probability and statistics saved for the end.

I'm looking for someone based in Boston to spend a day copying some manuscripts for me at the Boston Athenaeum. I can pay well. Bonus points if you've researched at the BA before, and you are neat and detail oriented. Thanks! 🗃️

My lab is going to be imminently looking for a computer scientist or a biologist with deep understanding of R to develop and give bioinformatic education to postdocs. This is perfect for someone who likes teaching. You'd need to be in the Pittsburgh area. Feel free to reach out with questions.
