Cette campagne se déroule à l'aide de plusieurs tactiques :
1) déformation de certains échanges, écrits et initiatives, notamment à l'aide des "Twitter Files", une série de documents et messages privés de la compagnie publiés par Elon Musk suite à son rachat;
Ils ont créé un narratif selon lequel le gvt, les plateformes & les membres de la société académique & civile comploteraient ensemble afin de "censurer" l'opinion publique américaine. La "lutte contre la désinformation étrangère" serait un motif pour faire taire le public, notamment les Républicains
Depuis janvier 2023, les Républicains ont lancé une campagne d'intimidation à l'encontre de la communauté de lutte contre les manipulations de l'information étrangères aux États-Unis.
