chibi of a mosasaurus with cartoon eyes and a toothy smile, gray with stripes like a tiger shark's coloring.
I've been revealing fun bits of Time Trap on the pre-launch page for the Kickstarter, and the most recent reveal was art for a chibi mosasaurus. This one will be available as both a digital (printable) sticker AND a physical sticker you can put on your water bottle/notebook.

screencap of a tweet with a photo at the bottom of JD Vance giving a talk, gesturing smugly with his hands
Eric Daugherty • @EricLDaugh • 1h
• JD VANCE RESPONDS TO POPE LEO:
"When the Pope says that God is never on the side of those who wield the sword - there is more than a THOUSAND year tradition of Just war Theory."
"In the same way that it's important for the vice president of the United States to be careful when I talk about matters of public policy, I think it's very, very important for the pope to be careful when he talks about matters of theology."
"And I think that one of these issues here is that there has been - if you're going to opine on matters of theology, you've got to be careful, you've got to make sure it's anchored in the truth, and that's one of the things that I try to do, and it's certainly something I would expect from the clergy, whether they're Catholic or Protestant."
I’ve given this a great deal of thought, trying to come up with the perfect joke for this moment, and this is what I have so far -
POPE LEO: our religion teaches that this war is bad
VANCE: wow, who died and made YOU head of the Catholic Church??
POPE LEO: well, you should know, you were there

If you wish people had come forward sooner, help create a world where they feel safe doing so, where it isn't going to ruin their mental health and haunt them for years.
Or, you know. Shut the fuck up.

Welcome to the Hidden Almanac, I’m Reverend Mord.
Today is November 11th, 2016.
My friends, it is a dark time now. And history is very long, but that is little comfort for those living through it. A year can be no time at all, but a minute can be an eternity.
But civilization is a great work. And kindness is a great work. And decency is a great work. It is not given to any one of us, no matter how long-lived, to see that work through to the end. But neither may we give up working on it.
There is a proverb of a great people that translates…inelegantly. It says that if you are planting seeds and you learn that the world will end tomorrow, keep planting.
I promise you that the seeds we plant now matter. If you do not have faith in gods or saints, have faith in each other, and in us.
That’s the Hidden Almanac for November 11th, 2016. Be safe. You are not alone.
—Ursula Vernon
Some weirdo wrote a thing that I read this morning that still moves me deeply. I can plant the seeds I can plant.

Seeing a lot of “we went to the moon instead of funding healthcare” takes and want to note it is a false dichotomy. The US could easily do both, but the politicians and people who finance them have chosen to make Americans suffer. And they avoid paying taxes to make it harder to help Americans.

just one moment of celebration for getting a major donor to move $3 million dollars this week to rent funds
now if only there were more than one generous super-wealthy person and the news hadn’t moved on from this entirely predictable crisis

So, a reason I keep sharing alterna-reads to HP is bc I'm not talking to superfan adults, I'm talking to parents/teachers/librarians who are making book purchasing choices for kids -- I really think it's a needed step in killing the cyclical support this series gets

i think sometimes cis people truly have a hard time understanding that jk rowling is a living person actively using her wealth to fund the international assault on trans lives. she’s not some Complicated Author we can have a spirited debate about separating from the art with!!!!!

A person wearing blue surgical gloves plus a bear shaped mask and a long fur coat in order to feed a little tiny baby bear.
I think it's vitally important that everyone know that when baby bear cubs are orphaned and taken to our local wildlife center, they get fed and rehabbed by people masking their scent and wearing costumes like this so they don't get habituated to humans

No, go after them because they're bad for society, like arsenic in the water.
A billion dollars is the socio-economic equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work to prevent the acquisition of the former with the same urgency and ruthlessness we use to prevent the acquisition of the latter.

Hello all, I’m Matthew. I am fundraising for my wife, Lalana (wh… Matthew Beckerleg needs your support for Help Author Fight Cancer so she can finish her book
Hey all. Piper Drake, a friend and a fellow romance author, needs some help funding her cancer treatment. It's been a long, tough road, but she's got one more story in her and we'd like to buy her a little more time to get it out.
