Last night was a perfect dry run for the Wild in the playoffs, in the sense that the game started stupidly late and the Wild lost

The thing that Mick Abel really needs to improve is "accepting that there are seven people behind him to potentially catch the baseball, should someone manage to hit it."
Matt, I have to say that if you are arguing that we are talking about the *wrong* body of water that was on fire, then your argument may already be lost
Today's Minnesotans are the genetic product of generation after generation that have chosen to stay *here*.
Listen, guys: you ain't getting your loser flag back. Anyone who would have even considered it lives in California or Arizona now.
what happens when you have a "City Connect" uniform that doesn't mention your city or other geographical location at all
Major League Soccer Announces Collaboration with Vision Insights to Deliver Brand Expolsure Analysis to League Partners NEW YORK (April 8, 2026) - Vision Insights and Major League Soccer (MLS) today announced a multi-year collaboration that will assist the League in providing brand exposure analysis to LS roster of blue chip sponsors. Kicking off with the 2026 season, MLS will leverage Decoder edia, a proprietary platform developed by Vision Insights designed to deliver accurate and detailed analysis in a timely fashion.
Update: here's the latest in have-to-be-fake press releases from MLS.
If this is a bit on their part, I'm enjoying it.
yep better save Cole Sands for late April when the Twins have a late-inning lead again
Well they really only did that in the first place because there was no one else left, not because they really thought he was gonna make a great SS. But then they went an entire offseason without doing anything about it.
😠
He has the unfortunate combination of an above-average ability to make contact and a below-average ability to make solid contact. And teams have figured out they can just throw him slop down in the zone.
Evergreen post: The Twins have trouble hitting with the bases loaded because the Twins have trouble hitting.
New season, same question: Why can't the Twins hit left-handed pitchers?
Year after year, the lineup struggles vs. lefties. Offseason after offseason, the front office ignores it. And the early 2026 numbers are uglier than ever.

I'd encourage every Twins fan to watch this video and see what this means to Byron Buxton (and what Byron Buxton means to everyone in that clubhouse).
I can’t explain it!
Every at bat when Mick Abel pitching is like
1. Hopeless swinging strike
2. Just missed corner with nasty 97mph fastball
3. Foul
4. Bounces seven feet in front of plate
5. Hits bat boy in dugout
6. Foul
7. Pitch lands in press box

#Loons will be without Wil Trapp in southern California, opening up a potential chance for Owen Gene ⚽️ Joao Klauss is hot 🔥United had a quiet close to transfer window, but did pursue Georgi Minoungou 🙁
Plus, a prediction:

Kody Clemens faceplants trying to slide headfirst into second on a steal attempt vs. the Royals
If this doesn't sum up how the Twins season is projected to go, I don't know what does (I'm glad Clemens is okay)
Any team can make two outs on the bases in six innings but it's only the One True Team TOOTBLAN that can have both guys injure themselves while sliding
the only major league baseball team that has coaches yelling "JUST KEEP IT IN FRONT OF YOU" from the dugout
all the smart baseball guys said the Twins were slow and bad on defense and it is VERY disappointing to see how right they were
Team TOOTBLAN at it again. Highlights:
1) the grimace on Caratini's face as he hits top speed
2) Caratini's "dad decided to slide in the company softball game" attempt
3) The genuinely bored body language of Maikel Garcia, waiting for Caratini to get all the way to third base
The Twins are big on aggressiveness now, but when you tell an incredibly slow team to be aggressive on the bases, what you are doing is committing to making a ton of outs at third base.
Close-up of a dark blue soccer jersey featuring a stylized crest that reads “Aurora FC.” The logo shows a teal aurora-like wave over jagged mountain shapes, outlined in red, with a small red star inside the crest. Subtle starburst patterns are scattered across the fabric, and the collar has a thin red accent.
shhhh. we have a secret 🤫 👀

It's hockey night, as @jonmarthaler.com and @chikenfingerz69.bsky.social gather to worry about the Minnesota Wild and laugh about the Gopher hockey coaching searches and, in a regrettable moment, recall hurtful Gopher hockey nicknames from a quarter-century ago
TIRED: the Twins need to be more aggressive on the bases
WIRED: if the Twins get on base they need to stand still on top of the base like it’s T-ball
who's gonna be the first in print to describe guys who were on World Baseball Classic rosters as "full internationals"
my favorite moments are missing, where do I go to submit a help desk ticket
if I saw a guy in camo fatigues I'd be unable to stop myself from getting a huge grin and saying "Hey buddy, where are your clothes?"
I have become unable to refrain from making idiotic jokes in interactions with service personnel, and I would like to issue a blanket apology from me and all the rest of the middle-aged dads who suffer from the same horrifying condition
