I had SUCH a good day vending at the garden tour. Riding a high of talking w/ people w/ a moderate to advanced knowledge of local nature (plants aren’t my world so I learned a lot), enjoying time with vendors and docents and the homeowners. Came home with a Baja fairy duster and tons of seeds

The level of enthusiasm for nature from this crowd is super encouraging. I’m having a good social day as well as a good business day. 💕
I have direct experience with shirts, mugs, and pub glasses so far, and they’ve held up well to my abuse, and I get good reviews from customers!
Spoonflower has been growing, which I’m happy to see. Same thing for me and society6. But Printful is a good POD I use regularly and swear by their quality, so definitely check that out too!

The home garden I’m stationed at has a little shady trail running through the yard, I love it!

This is excellent forethought
You hear anything? Nothing for us sadly
Welcome home! 👩🏻🚀🧑🏾🚀🧑🏻🚀🧑🏻🚀
No sonic boom for us, alas. But so thrilled they’re safe.
Anyone else have James Horner’s Apollo 13 score playing in their head waiting for them to come out of comms blackout?
hey southern california citizen scientists we are all doing this right??
Waiting in Poway hoping I feel it!
Me to a (local dive) bartender just last month: dirty vodka martini, dry, grey goose, three olives
Bartender: ok wait but we’re out of vermouth and (confidently) the vermouth is what makes it dry*, are you ok with no vermouth?
Me: …yeah. That’s fine.
*the opposite, actually.
A dirty martini (single olive, the other two were eaten) in a vintage 1950s cocktail glass with stars carved into it. The glass is resting on my patio chair
Waiting for spacemen with my dirty martini 🍸
We’ve been getting a ton in our yard this spring!
I got these biggie totes because I take them to the beach, the post office, and farmers market and I need to STUFF things. Those tiny basic canvas totes could never. It's become my snorkeling/beach tote, my retail space refresh tote, I beat it up and it's still going strong.
Hoping to hear the sonic boom as the astronauts splash down off San Diego. Updated reports are saying we won't see anything, but there's a high likelihood of hearing or feeling it.

"The exciting thing about being a first is that there is a prospect of there being a second, a third and a fourth, and it actually becoming normal . . . I really look forward to the point where it's not remarkable that a Black man is exploring the solar system"

Happy birthday!
My whole life it was the horrors of teen pregnancy and why you should avoid it, also "kids are a burden". My mom is the child of a teen mom so that just compounded the "fucking DON'T", paired with evangelical upbringing. Now they're acting like it's a course to be corrected? I am so confused.
God maybe someday. I did it as part of an educational unit in elementary school and I keep thinking "I should revisit this, that was fun" but my brain doesn't really work that way so I'd have to really get into researching tutorials.

I don’t think I’ll be able to see anything, only audible booms, but absolutely will if I do! Hubs is space nerding out hardcore rn so we will definitely be outside with ample timing
I’m hoping to hear the sonic boom here in San Diego
