Been in Ireland for a weekend with my roller derby team.

Existing day to day as a trans person, is exhausting, as you have to fight for your validity even subconsciously.

I’m just so tired of it. I need a few days off.

Solar panels are efficient enough these days that even on overcast days they make a dent.

Even now in this cold weather most of our power is coming from wind solar and nuclear. That’s despite our nuclear plants being few and old.

Having rooftop solar helps reduce the strain on national and local grids.

Even if we had battery storage on the local level it would help.

Yknow why as a country don’t we do:

A mass insulation, solar and heat pump install program funded by the government.

This will create jobs and while not a direct payback it will show. I’m no economist but it’ll decouple us from gas shocks like is happening at the moment.
