I'm excited for the Switch 2, but the price is painful, especially here in Sweden where Mario Kart costs $100 and the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle is $750. Nintendo games have suddenly become a luxury the average family can't afford. Not surprising given the current economic climate, but still painful

I wouldn't be surprised if we get to see a trailer for a remake or remastered game. Personally hoping for a fully remade Oot 🀞

Made a game-ready birch tree for my portfolio. It's a very small piece, but thought I'd share :)

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Got back into Speedtree again! This floofy birch I made is a whopping 500k tris and I'm gonna optimize it to make it game ready. What is polybudget for a PC tree nowadays? ~20k?

known games industry layoffs by year

known games industry layoffs by month

2024 currently has more known games industry layoffs than 2023+2022 combined.

2024 is roughly 600 layoffs away from doubling 2023. There is still plenty of business days left in the month.

I can't emphasize enough how extreme these last few years have been.

So far.

Yeah I have zero interest in staw wars anymore. I hope the rest of the fans have fun with the new shows, but I've moved on to other things. If you have any good recommendations for romance novels, let me know!

Personally never cared much for the timeline, but people theorising about it I only see as positive engagement in a franchise I love

Just wrapped up my 8-week Houdini VEX course on #CGMA! Learned so much, from coding ivy growth and pyroclastic noise to erosion effects. It’s been an awesome journey, and I’ve gained a ton of new skills! πŸ₯³

I've got some followers (!) on here, so I thought I might introduce myself. I'm Sophie, a tech artist based in Sweden. I like working with cool techy stuff for environments.
Currently looking for a job!

The reason I am so passionate about real-time lighting lies in its incredible power to transform and shift atmospheres. It’s a tool that brings emotion and depth to every scene. Here is a lighting test recording of my personal project, Lacrimosa, where I explored this very essence. πŸŒ₯️ #UE5 #Lumen

Such is Musk's proclivity for shooting himself - and his businesses β€” in the foot, while handing his competitors an advantage. Bluesky developers even reportedly have a name for when one of Musk's decisions leads to a deluge of newbies, according to journalist Joshua J Friedman: an EME, or "Elon Musk Event."
