I have actually heard of this? I'm a cabinetmaker and have made stuff for huge homes, with $500k in cabinetry, like 7 bathrooms and an indoor pool, and keeping it all in order is basically a part time job. Rich people live a completely different life (and at the least hire cleaning staff)

They are talking like traffic engineers haven't been trying - and failing - to fix traffic congestion for the last 70+ years
It's the wrong question to ask
And a good part of the reason we're in the mess that we're in
I think Tolkien would be concerned if he learned that companies were being named after the most obvious villains in modern fantasy
Modern tech CEO's are naming their startups things like Morgoth and Nazgūl and then wondering why we're calling them fascists
French Hen- the menu there is exquisite!
do NOT call me a NIMBY. I FULLY support new housing if it is AFFORDABLE, passes my personal VIBE check, will not be lived in by people I consider UNCOOL and is constructed only when the MOON is waxing, upon the APPROPRIATE ley lines
Ah, the old "Real Reason Sandwich"
Another example of conservatives being the real cause of bureaucratic red tape as a way to prevent access to the rights and privileges they hoard. To the detriment of all of us - immigrants are a straightforward good for America
Saint Paul faces real challenges, but I’m still optimistic. I’ve seen the momentum firsthand at @sustainstpaul.bsky.social, with community members, partners, and local leaders all stepping up.
Every gift this month is matched up to $1,500. Help us get there: www.sustainstpaul.org/donate
But is there a Swarovski Shrek themed watch?
Not to overanalyze but they definitely swapped the tablet for a shield b/c none of them read
Inclusionary zoning is bad. Instead of relying on kludgy market based mechanisms that don’t work, the government should directly subsidize housing for poor people.
Inclusionary zoning is bad policy and we should stop doing it.
This is a personal invitation to any elected official in the State of Minnesota to join us on an e-bike ride. We are more than happy to explain the legal definition, handling specifics, & policy best practices around these miraculous & overwhelmingly safe mobility devices.

This is a great example of leadership. Ramsey County is wrong about the benefits of the CP Ford Spur. Rebecca Noecker will fight to acquire this public space for people walking and biking in West 7th, and it'll pay off in spades.
This April, we are working to raise $1,500 by April 30 to unlock a full matching gift.
Every dollar will be DOUBLED.
If you care about thoughtful growth and a welcoming Saint Paul, now is the time to give.

When cars kill, it's just the cost of doing business. When e-bikes get popular, suddenly we need strict ordinances to stop "accidents".
News orgs panicking about gas prices while ignoring our failures on renewables is kinda crazy-making
Final Score: Game One: Maul Rats: 180 Wednesday Warnings: 112
That’s a wrap on our 22nd home team season, and there’s a new champion of the Golden Skate!
In game 1 of last night’s event, the Maul Rats battled with the Wednesday Warnings. In the end, the Rats were victorious, securing them 3rd place for the season!
No Kings #TwinCities
St. Paul charges property owners quite a bit for buildings and not much at all for vacant land, a perverse disincentive, in the eyes of critics, to fill vacant lots. What if we flipped it? Could a "land value capture" tax be the panacea this city needs? www.twincities.com/2026/03/24/s...
Yet another reason for Land Value Tax! We ought to disincentivize good properties remaining fallow.
Nothing shall impinge on the GOP's god-given right to speed on city streets and flatten unsuspecting pedestrians
I think it's like those gas station penny containers "Take a future, leave a future"
“MnDOT is putting forward an embarrassingly backward project. The options on the table would largely perpetuate the status quo…Almost every alternative would cost $2 billion just to rebuild an existing urban freeway with little functional improvement after years of talk and planning.”
THE PHOENIX REBORN: A bus rapid transit route down West Seventh Street is officially a go. More than a year after the death of the Riverview Corridor, the Met Council has given its blessing to the Metro J Line. www.twincities.com/2026/03/17/m...
Our full statement on the demolition of the Midway CVS🏚️
The short version: Its time we start thinking boldly with Land Value Tax to ensure this property, which has enormous potential, doesn't remain an empty lot for long.
It gives me great pleasure to say that I finally wrote about the CVS demolition.
See you, Midway CVS!
