We have a chance of removing the Online Safety Act!

Any UK residents, PLEASE take the time to fill out the whole form. If we want to remove ID verification on websites that actually don't need it, we need to take action NOW!

The Illinois State House just passed HB 5511, a bill that will require EVERY WEBSITE and EVERY APP to implement an age verification check.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov has pushed this hard and it’s Meta’s preferred solution to avoid liability.

Keep Android Open Your phone is about to stop being yours. In September 2026, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them.

WTF... on September google is gonna push MANDATORY update that restricts what you can install on your android phone... this is the first step to closing the environment and turning it into Apple2

PLEASE spread the word🙏

Please continue to oppose #chatcontrol . The next trilogue meeting is April 16th, and they're trying to reintroduce mass-scanning in some "voluntary" fashion.

CHATCONTROL WILL ALSO FORCE EU-WIDE #AGEVERIFICATION FOR THE ENTIRE INTERNET BY THE WAY #stopchatcontrol #savespeech #discord #eu

Publishers’ AI battle hits Internet Archive SF organization losing access to some news content

“We are collateral damage.” - Mark Graham, Wayback Machine

When preservation is caught in the crossfire, it’s not just libraries that lose—it’s the public’s access to history, knowledge, and truth.

The web shouldn’t disappear behind closed doors.

Donate to Preserve Bob McKnight’s Incredible Art Legacy, organized by Robert Griggs Hi, I’m Robert Griggs. I’ve worked in animation for over 30 years. You all… Robert Griggs needs your support for Preserve Bob McKnight’s Incredible Art Legacy

The late great Bob McKnight's artwork is at risk of being seized and destroyed if something isn't done about it. His dearest friend and mentee Rob Griggs has set up a GoFundMe to help save his property, including his extensive art archives. Bob LOVED animation and it's history, help preserve it!

Do not spoil yourself on this game, do not read the comments, do not look at the screenshots, do not look at the videos, and do not look at a guide.

a 3 star review of the first Illumination Super Mario Bros. movie that reads as follows: I dressed up as funky kong to see this with coworkers and my manager was like "who the fuck are you" because I looked like a 90s weed dealer so I told her to "just wait and see" and then he never showed up in the movie

tbh I still feel I get more enjoyment out of reading this short review of the first Mario movie than I do out of watching most full-length films

Good on you, Gianni.

There are multiple surefire reasons why I continue to support you as a voice actor, and this is certainly a new one that I'll NEVER back down on.

A set of screenshots from DEEP SPACE NINE. An old Klingon throws his arms around Dax and shouts "Curzon, my beloved old friend!"

Dax returns the hug and says "I'm Jadzia now."

The Klingon grabs her shoulders, smiles, and says "Jadzia, my beloved old friend!"

Star Trek figured this out thirty years ago. It's not hard. Even an old, drunk Klingon got it.

And this is a big part of why we need basic income

So we can take our time to make the best art possible without worrying about running out of food or not being able to pay our rent

We need to stop viewing art as a product, especially independently produced art. Expecting artists to just churn out work quickly because you want it is not only extremely selfish, but also deeply undermines all of the work that goes into making art good. You can’t rush art.

Adults Lose Skills to AI. Children Never Build Them. Discussions of cognitive offloading often miss a critical distinction: What AI does to a 45-year-old's brain is categorically different from what it does to a 14-year-old's.

"Developers who fully delegated to AI produced working code but failed conceptual quizzes afterward. They couldn't debug what the AI had written for them. They had the output without the understanding."
