Today's jobs report came in stronger than expected with an increase of 178,000 to payroll employment. However, much of the gain was a bounce back to February declines (now a loss of 133,000 jobs). As a result, average monthly growth the last two months was only 22,500 jobs.

Really impressed with @kairyssdal.bsky.social on the Prof G pod today. He said because of his job he doesn’t trade stocks. If we could get politicians to behave the same way, the playing field would be much more level. Thank you for your integrity Mr. Ryssdal. @profgalloway.com
It’s entirely legal to record LE officers from your car. So they’re brazenly, illegally terrorizing this woman for exercising her constitutional rights.
Yet we know that none of these officers be held accountable. We know this administration encourages this behavior.
This is police state stuff.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.
Warren Zevon.
As much as I want to say it was something Springsteen did, my honest answer is Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. It is such an epic song.
Hey @radleybalko.bsky.social any updates on the book or its release date?
That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.
Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

This remains one of my favorite Simpsons scenes. “Doh, stupid tube” or something like that.
Every episode of this podcast is exceptional. Today’s was way too relevant. It illustrates why we must remain vigilant.
It’s become conventional wisdom that America’s young men are in crisis. The reality is more complicated than that. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-weekend-essa...
I helped make a film, out this week, called “Rovina’s Choice,” about the deaths this man without conscience or accountability has caused — already 600,000, ⅔ of them children.
Feel like, as a society, we might consider moving Halloween to the last Friday in October (observed.) Vibes truly immaculate tonight.
