i apologize for the poor pictures of them for their initial photos. these were their "product" photos. while i probably did take photos of them when i first got them, they're buried in chat logs. it was fun enough digging up these old photos LOL.
my beautiful girls that have changed over the past 4 months. i find it so fascinating and cool how betta fish change colors as they age. rikka lost all of her white and became red, while yuri's blue deepened and black spots began to appear. i love my girls. #bettafish #betta #fish #fishkeeping

moon and mage are both still doing well. moon brumated and scared us over the winter but he's healthy he's alright. he did lose a bit of weight so we've been trying to help him gain it back lol.

we've experienced pet death in the meantime as well. twice. that's been very hard losing jiro and hana. i never even got the chance to talk about hana. ):

Mage has been really good to not mess with the tank pets, but I think he actually discovered Jiro for the first time. he's never sat here and stared at the tank like this before.
