Historically, blowing shit up, isn't really a fucking positive net for society. Also, again, instead of focusing on the IRA, because you want to completely take a comment out of context, why don't you focus on what I was saying?
I can just as easily say Ireland was/is shite because it had the IRA.

Wow. And I'm sure during that time, that everyone there and around thought Ireland was just FUCKING DANDY.
The terror the media lets out about the US is no different from anywhere else. We are conditioned on knee-jerk reactions. Globally. People still have the power, but they must exercise it. Stop being primed to be at each other's throats and start listening to what people are trying to say.
Your entire anger is in using the IRA as an example. So let me lay this out: you cannot know the necessity of violence and turmoil until the ends can justify the means or not. IE historical hindsight. This was my point: we cannot know which side the US' current problems lands on.
Uh. What conflict lines? Where is my ignorance except where you believe it to be? You have quit listening, and only wish to insult.
Again, my original point, for the final time: saying "X is shite, does not fix anything." It rubs people's noses in it as they try to scrape it away.

So maybe learn what I'm saying?
Whether Washington or the IRA WERE GOOD OR BAD is something that comes with a wholer view of a thing. Just like what is happening in the US RIGHT NOW. To say otherwise fucks up what were doing to try and fix it.
Because I said "Saying something is shite doesn't fix anything?"
That makes sense.
So. In other words, you want to focus on what you think I meant rather than what I have been saying.
Which brings me right back to my point: saying something is shit does nothing to fix it.
Outlandish is a perspective. The idea is to think fucking critically about the US. As you would want someone to about anything Globally fucking important. IE, the IRA.
George Washington is a Villain because he is made to be one (rightfully or otherwise) The IRA was made to be one. Whether they are or not is irrelevant because the actuality is, no-one could have known at the end of the day THEN, if the victors would write the books sympathtetically.
Yeah, quit testing me. You're only trying to dig deeper to make me look like an asshole when you're ignoring a wholly sane and logical argument.
Ireland then= dangerous Irelandnow=whatever. Us now= Dangerous. USfuture= who knows. Whats the difference?
Wow.
Okay. So yeah. This is you being dense, because my argument was never it was good. My argument is that people do horrible shit everywhere, so instead of pretending that it only happens in one place...
Why don't we talking about fucking fixing it everywhere?

Aww... you don't understand history either.
You are saying the ends justify the means, retroactively. Because history is hindsight, which is 20/20. You cannot know the ramifications of historical acts otherwise. So to sit here and claim America is shite, and that ANY history is somehow cleaner is fucking ridiculous.
I think maybe you need to stop and think about what you walked into.
This person was fighting me because she called something shite because someone 200+ years ago did something shitty.
How is that different than the hypothetical I posed? Blowing shit up isn't a solution to a fucking problem.

Hmm... or Maybe I do, and I'm setting it aside because your entire point was to shit on something rather than do the hard work of admitting you know fuck-all too.
Go read a book on why the IRA came to be, cos you clearly know fuck all. I wasn't even talking to you, so how about you just fuck off.
And clearly you just want to start shit. The point is, there are no clean hands in history. Go back as far as you want. Humans became "civilized" only after countless generations of animalistic behavior. To say a place is shite and act as if that means it also has no merits isn't. Fixing. Anything.
You clearly have fuck all idea about Irish history
And Ireland had the IRA. Can we not have a pissing contest about horrible shit and just focus on fixing it?
