I think I felt my knee give out just reading that

Thankfully you'll have all the draft content through and post draft weekend to carry you through it!

Hopefully we all get an awesome draft night and you also have a speedy smooth recovery!

But also the spreadsheets! 😂

Thinking it though while driving, the visions very Ben coded, like I gave McVay credit going heavy 31 personnel more often this past season

But making the same thing look different, and different thing look the same, really unlocks when you can run em out of all the personnel packages

Truly full on Ben Johnson's offense sicko mode though, which you won't see me complaining if they go that or a similar route

Wait, seriously, the whole thing? That's awesome, honestly feeling grateful and glad to know we remained listenable throughout!

Side note: Kev consider our hot and cold past takes on 1st tight ends

I actually dig the idea, some sean McVay inspiration in BJs offense!

Oof... wait till 26... though I think our thoughts agree, just the DA brain which we truly hope we're wrong about for reasons like this

Honestly, I even miss the bad takes the algo would feed me sometimes

Also, thank you for listening, even if you only listen to a tiny part of that monstrosity of a recording, truly appreciate it!

Feel free to call out some of our bad takes on there, there's honestly probably a ton!

In his first 100 days, Zohran Mamdani has:

-Delivered millions in restitution for workers cheated by gig companies
-Cracked down on predatory landlords
-Launched the first stage of a universal childcare program
-Fixed thousands of potholes in NYC streets

This is what leadership looks like.

1)Republicans lost the popular vote in 7 of last 9 presidential elections

2)more than 2/3 of Americans had not even been born yet the last time the Court had a majority appointed by Dem. president.

The Post left these 2 points out of this #scotus story.

It's absolutely insane, almost in a tin foil hat wearing way, how similar all of that is

3 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

Now, with that last point, Nixon's was a bit different

I believe he helped them with aided them while not actually getting involved in it with the US military

But that was enough for the Arab OPEC to implement the Arab Oil Embargo

So there are material differences, but still quite similar

Trump and Nixon both cause/are causing stagflation

Both are riddled in scandals

Both have tried to cheat their way into winning an election

Both have found themselves aligning with Israel in a conflict in the Middle East leading to oil prices skyrocketing (oil crisis pt 2 incoming)

But, you have two VPs running for President, that skipped the primaries, were unelected (for the most part) by the voters, and were unwilling to separate themself from their successor in their most unpopular topics narrative

This is wild when you consider the Trump Nixon comparison

3 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

Another difference: Pres. Johnson announced peace talks with Vietnam late in the race, which did boost Hubert Humphrey's polls quite a bit

There's credible allegations that Nixon may have cheated here à la what he did during Watergate (would be insane, not shocking, if we find out Trump did too)

This one reminds me a bit of Kamala and Biden in regards to the economy and with Gaza (and, considering the recent findings I've mentioned previously, yes these matter)

Kamala suggested economic policies, that were popular, early in her campaign but she ended up dropping them (and her polls)

3 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

Different from Kamala, however, still similar in the sense that neither were elected via the primaries

2. Hubert Humphrey refused to separate himself from Johnson regarding the Vietnam war believing in the way it was being handled

The gave Nixon a massive leg up as the Dems were blamed for the war

Want to know what's funny about this, it makes the Trump/Nixon comparison feel like a conspiracy.

Let me explain:

1. Johnson's VP at the time, Hubert Humphrey, won the Presidential Nomination without going through the Primaries

He used non-primary state DNC Officeholder delegates to win

Restrict that piece of legislation to the big banks and I don't see the same issues I'm seeing now as I can understand why it's necessary to insure a larger sum while allowing for more risk

3 weeks ago 0 1 0 0

To be fair, all of it would make sense to me in our financialized market (even if I have massive ideological issues with our system and also despise the financialization of it and how it's decoupled the market from reality)

Until you add the legislation to increase the insured amount to $5M

This is understood, BASEL III changes on their own makes sense to me

It's the combination of it with what's mentioned in my other skeets before it

FDIC allowing PE to buy failed banks mixed with the legislation to increase the amount FDIC would guarantee and the impact that has on small banks

@aoc.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov @ilhanmn.bsky.social @rokhanna.bsky.social

These FDIC and Basel changes, that I mentioned in my above skeets, have alarm bells going off in my head

Would love to bring these to your attention if it's not already (probably is, but gotta make sure)

These are all happening at the same time, this is insane

US Basel III Proposal The US Basel III Proposal refines capital and risk requirements for US banks, requiring them to adjust implementations plans.

www.ey.com/en_us/us-basel

Holy shit they want to increase risk sensitivity, IE bank leverage ratio

Basically, how much of the deposited money needs to be held vs risked in investments

These mother fuckers are setting up the PE firms to buy out small banks they're setting up to fail, aren't they?

Historical Designated Reserve Ratio | FDIC.gov The Federal Deposit Insurance Act (FDI Act) requires that the FDIC Board of Directors (Board) designate a reserve ratio for the Deposit Insurance Fund

www.fdic.gov/resources/de...

Also, the FDIC only has so much money stashed... like 1.5% of all that they insure

Going up to $5M would make the reserves minuscule

I'm pretty sure the FDIC would then have to borrow money to cover the rest

Something really smells fishy

If you ever look at a country and wonder why it is the way it is, high chance the answer is the same, western intervention and imperialism

South America, Africa, the Middle East, most if not all of the countries within em have been impacted by it

Highly worth a listen

If you understand the history of the Middle East, you'll understand why the way we, and our media, views the region misses a ton of context and, quite often, is backwards

Your tax season reminder that the real freeloaders in this country are the rich — not the poor or immigrants or any other group of people vilified as scapegoats. The richest 1% evade $160 billion in taxes every year. The United States literally has yacht and private jet tax deductions. Hello?

I probably should clarify, that election system isn't fascist but brainwash

hand waving a lot of the issues and tactics of western capitalism/imperialism/colonialism that leads to symptoms in non-western societies that the capital class uses to indoctrinate us in their system
