A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Obviously I’ve got skin in the game so can’t be trusted, but this is shaping up to be the most absolutely epic event I’ve been involved with.

Dean Crow - Gyotaku — Brown Hound Press My father papered the walls of his studio in crisp white washi, covered in schools of Gyotaku: ink prints of fish he’d caught throughout his career. Against a dark green background with autumnal leaves and branches, a 3D hardback of THE GODS MUST BURN by T. R. Moore.

Below, white text: “There are stories that stay with you forever and The Gods Must Burn is one of them. The mythology is so layered and rich, the romance is angsty and soaring and epic, and T.R. Moore’s prose is gorgeous and lyrical, yet unflinching—the result is a true masterpiece. This book tore my heart out and put it back together again and it was an honor.” — Thea Guanzon, New York Times and #1 international bestselling author The Hurricane Wars

Under an old oak in the fields where Dog chases squirrels, Husband made a Winnie the Poohesque sign to show the postman where the squirrels live.
Two days later the sign was stolen.
Yesterday it was returned. A miracle or what?

When grandchildren visited in summer, I read to them Peter Rabbit. At first they found it hard to get to grips with the antiquated language, but soon they got the rhythm and rhyme of it, and loved it. Because language isn't just a sum total of words and stories transcend time.
