Memorable career moment tonight: my brother George and I submitted our first co-authored journal article and we had our mom click the submit button for us. 🥹

All science is political. May as well acknowledge that and then make sure that you’re aware of how your science is being used.

My dad doesn’t know it, but I think, “that is a lot of information which is also quite interesting” is one of the best compliments someone could give me on my R36 research strategy.
