Recently listened to this (read by the delightful JerCarPar ;) and soooooo enjoyed it!
Now the husband is listening and we're both looking forward to the next installments!
At least we know shit will get done.
We need a matriarchy run by lesbians with clipboards and earpieces who do not take any shit.

If you're in North Dakota or Alaska & have a favorite independent bookstore in your state, encourage them to register for Bookstore Romance Day, coming August 15. Those are the only two states not yet represented.

A mass shooting that took the lives of eight children should stop this country in its tracks. Instead, the Shreveport tragedy disappeared from the headlines in a day. We cannot allow this level of violence to fade into background noise. Ending Americaβs gunβviolence epidemic is a moral oblligation.
Looking to read more indie sapphic Muslim and or Arab books! Any genre is great. ππ₯° rec or link me below please!!

My 16 year old nephew told me that he felt school was irrelevant because you can ask ChatGPT for any answer you need. When our children start letting AI think for them, you know we have a problem with our education system.
Those 3 things have been invoked many times over the years.
I am considering a hormone check, tho.
That is one thing I haven't delved into.
It is.
And on the other end of things, while I get that my aging body is having issues, chalking it up to aging and NOT having some sort of idea as to what can be done to help isn't great either.
"Oh, it's just a natural part of getting old. Deal with it."
HOW do I deal with it????
I haven't read it either, but the idea of it is too gross to delve into for me right now.
Some rocks need to be thrown.
This disgusting trend for money-making was just discussed on John Oliver's Last Week Tonight last night.

People will bet on anything without truly thinking or caring about the fact actual human beings are involved.
We, as a society, are horrific.
A graphic with text on it that says: "Responsibilities of a ship detective aboard the HMS Fairweather: 1. Keep the passengers of the ship safe on their centuries-long journey. 2. Sort out the truth from the lies. 3. Don't get too judgy about the deceased. 4. Don't fall in love with the victim's wife. 5. When things get tricky, drink some tea."
Some good things for Dorothy Gentleman to bear in mind as the detective on the HMS Fairweather...π
Becky Chambers meets Miss Marple in Murder by Memory by @oliviawaite.com, a sci-fi ode to the cozy mystery, helmed by a formidable no-nonsense auntie of a detective!
There are avenues to take.
I'm just amused (?) by the number of things out there.
I'd go broke giving half of them a go.
It is so disgusting.
I will never understand this mindset.

It is.
There is no moral compass anymore.

Babies died.
Their thought is "How can we monetize this?"
I want to punch throats.
I just can't with these people, SL.
hormones
thyroid
cortisol
lymph system
A1C
liver damage
According to the interwebz, any/all of these things are apparently the cause of my middle-aged body going to shit.
Luckily, there are plenty of "fixes" and anyone telling you anything else works is just in it for the money.
I'll look for it :)
Thanks!

What TF is wrong with people??????
I haven't tried oat milk in a while.
I used almond mild when the kids were home and drinking it, but it needed to be the sweetened kind, even though it didn't taste that sweet to me.
More control over the contents, so that's good!
DH enjoys the flavors.
I'm generally a milk/half & half only fan.
He'll get Irish cream now and again and I give it a go thinking after decades of being a coffee drinker I'll like it this time.
Nope.
