Keep in mind how platforms work. Algorithms reward outrage. A small number of cruel, boosted comments can appear dominant even when they are not.

Appearance is the trick.

Minneapolis is being heavily targeted right now. Its political importance, media visibility, and history of organized resistance make it an ideal focus for this kind of manipulation.

The intent is to fracture solidarity.

The objective is psychological, not persuasive. Make people feel outnumbered, push them to stay quiet, and isolate them from one another.

Silence is the win.

Much of what you see is the result of computational propaganda, meaning networks of fake accounts and bots amplifying extreme views to create the illusion of widespread support.

Meta itself acknowledges this and calls it coordinated inauthentic behavior.

Quick reminder: comment sections are not reality. They are not proof that the Trump regime, ICE, or political cruelty are popular or normal.
