This is so depressing. I sometimes wonder if it’s a my-enemies-don’t-listen-so-I’ll-shout-at-allies-who-do problem.
Everybody likes to think their voice has “an impact” in the wild. They can’t make the Trump voters in their lives share their grief and anger, so allies get hammered.😢
As a homeschooler (not that kind of homeschooler), this is such a joke. Homeschoolers were adamant that they didn’t want to accept financial assistance from the state, because accepting it meant opening the door to regulation. Now they’re the first ones lining up for a handout.🙄
Here's an example of an outrageous grift from the North Carolina state legislature:
"Parents for Educational Freedom" (PEFNC) gets $1M in taxpayer dollars, recurring every year as a part of the private school voucher scam, to campaign against public schools and teachers.
It is DEEPLY important to get non-millionaires, non-tech-industry-hacks, and non-Wall-Street people onto Boards of Trustees of Colleges and Universities. I've seen @syed.nyc in action in the Working Families Party and hope you'll vote for him if you're a Wesleyan grad.

My kids have measles, I can't afford gas, and I'm going to be dead within 2 years now that the CDC cancelled funding for the mRNA treatment that might have save my life. But at least now we have Secretary of War who is a Pulp Fiction fan.
