Remember, kids: Dune is not political. From the Sietch.
I don’t know about you, but I want to experience the first 7 minutes of Dune Part 3 in a cinema running directly into the rest of Dune Part 3, and not on YouTube accompanied by the clickbait “analysis” of some hack.
Sometimes the simple puns are what you need on a trying Monday morning. From the Sietch.
From the Sietch. Great name too.
Easter greetings to all who celebrate it.
Your Nerd Emperor is a pacifist, but… [gestures at everything with withered human arms].
Dune is not political. Nor does it have any relevance to current affairs. Honest.

I’m working hard to make this quote as frequent and annoying on the interwebz as comparing someone to Hitler.
Found among the people of pan and graben. Remember, kids: Dune is NoT pOlItIcAl.
Too soon?

TL;DR - you DON’T need to see Dune Part Three in IMAX. Spend the money instead on seeing it in the best auditorium you can - preferably with a laser projector.
IMAX is a shallow marketing gimmick and always has been. There’s a reason cinema settled on a frame about twice as wide as it is tall - that’s how humans see the world with two front-facing eyes side-by-side. If DV wanted more of Chani in the frame, he would have put more of her in the frame.
Bet you a fiver that’s Hayt in there.
Can’t be long now, surely.
Dune Is NoT pOlItIcAl nor reflective of current affairs.
And just like that we fold space to Lebowski. The Sietch is on fire today.
The Sietch is having one of its periodic and transient crossover obsessions, this time with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. And it is glorious.
My eleven week old puppy finds this endlessly fascinating.

BTW, using heighliners like c17th/18th packet ships is in keeping with the future feudalism vibe. Feudalism is pretty much the best way to manage colonies/lands where you can’t micro-manage from a central location because of distance.
No it doesn’t. I don’t think it’s explicitly mentioned but I’m under the impression that messages are carried between worlds by heighliner - much later in Heretics of Dune, it’s implied that that is how the Atreides Manifesto is distributed, IIRC. I’ll see if I can find a reference when I have time.
