@damnyouwillis.bsky.social Dunno if you'll see this, but after your complaint that local stores' mannequins had swapped over to Spring I realized that my REI still had some cooler weather gear out, so if any of your characters are in for a gorpcore phase... here's some inspiration? (1/2)

There is, or at least was, a related(?) trend of Western CRPGs letting you gift some of your money to a beggar and then pulling some crap to argue "actually charity is baaaad." ๐Ÿ™„ DA:O's Awakening expansion had an entire side quest where you learned the beggars in the keep were a secret criminal gang

The way the arms pop out at the sides makes it look like KURTIS THE DIVINE is in the midst of dying for our sins ๐Ÿ˜†

Can I count Escapade's recruitment issue in the lead-in miniseries? My *god* that made me cry.

I also want to shout out the Martha spotlight there near the end, that was fantastic.

And everything with Emplate!

And, just, the whole comic-

These photos depict two BattleMechs, a Kit Fox and a Locust, painted in rusty orange with black accents and white "socks" on their lower legs.

Both are small, hunched robots with backwards-canted legs (the Kit Fox hewing closer to an actual digitigrade form).

The Kit Fox has a more rounded body and arms tipped with guns; one arm has a missile launcher mounted above the gun, the other has a hand. The Locust is more angular, with its "arms" just guns on gimbals and a laser beneath its "chin"

Someday I'll actually get in a regular rhythm for sharing photos...

I'm midway through a project painting @swankmotron.com 's Fox Patrol! So far I've done Katie and Evan's rides.

I usually do more elaborate basing, but I like how the bright plain grass looks here!

I hope the partners of the singer in Hozier's "Too Sweet" and Dove Cameron's "Too Much" find each other someday.

These photos depict a painted miniature of a Turkina, a gray-and-green BattleMech with a disc like torso, missile launchers at its shoulders, arms ending in guns, and reverse-jointed legs. An artistic depiction of a ghost-white bird has been painted onto its carapace.

I legitimately got into an argument with a professor at a Baptist college I attended (before I realized how incredibly queer I am) because I couldn't believe that God actually predestined what flavor of ice cream I'd eat on a given trip to the ice cream shop near campus. ^_^;

I just want to highlight his """work longer hours""" example there... setting aside the fact that he's scolding people for having work-life balance, working remote is *not an option* for blue-collar jobs, and when you're paid by the hour you can't exactly unilaterally decide you're going to work OT.

Photos of a "Banshee" BattleMech miniature from the tabletop game BattleTech. It is a tall humanoid robot bristling with weaponry, with a grinning Jack-o'-Lantern face. It is painted in the blue, pink, and white of the Transgender Pride Flag, with its head in a contrasting black. The letters "TD" and "OR" are painted on its shoulders, with the R in a bloody red. It is crowned with a circlet of gold.

I hope this Transgender Day of Visibility finds my sibkin well.

This Banshee was inspired by G.L.O.S.S.'s EP "Transgender Day of Revenge," thus the TDOR on its shoulders. I recently bought a new blue and pink which I think will work better for highlighting up trans mechs, so there's more coming!

Photos of a "Crusader" BattleMech miniature from the tabletop game BattleTech. It is a humanoid robot with bulky firearms mounting lasers and missile launchers, smaller missile launchers on its hips, a head with a decorative horn, and a jetpack. Its paint scheme is largely burgundy with accents in magenta on the right side of its body and in navy on the left side of its body. There are small accents of bronze on its horn and forearms.

I find the canon Marik Militia scheme just a bit too clash-y, so this is my interpretation, desaturating the colors.

This Crusader sculpt was an absolute joy to paint, loved everything about it!

Photos of a painted miniature of a Turkina OmniMech from the BattleTech tabletop game. It has a broad, rounded torso with an inset cockpit, missile launchers for shoulders, its arms each end in two cannons, and its legs are backwards-canted and claw-footed, vaguely avian. It is grey with jade green accents, and a ghostly falcon is painted across the top of its torso and shoulders.

I think I'll start posting some of the minis I paint for BattleTech here...

I'll start with a recent one, my take on the "Ghostbird" Turkina from @swankmotron.com's excellent Jade Falcon books!

I'm proud of this, though the road basing didn't really work out; I'll probably redo the base soon.

Dangit, I don't want to spoil things in a direct reply to this post, but just... Stories, dude. We really do need them in times like these.

(Also I love Shela's sass with Odin XD )

Oh my godddddd, I cried.

THAT conversation is, gosh, such a beautiful scene. Thank you. I just... Shela means so goddamn much to me, and I am so, so grateful that she's in the hands of a writer who gets us, and grateful that Marvel is still publishing stuff like *this* in the current climate. (1/2)

Oh gracious, this is so good! I love love love the retro feel and I can't wait to see when everyone else has ended up!

Rooting for 90s Escapade + Brielle so we can get the triumphant return of Shela's BLASTER DAME identity!
