Today marks six months since the catastrophic Eaton and Palisades fires devastated Los Angeles.
And while recovery is still a long road ahead, we remain committed to rebuilding these communities stronger than before.

The scenes coming out of Kerr County in Texas are gut wrenching.
My thoughts are with the families of the victims during this unimaginable tragedy — and I pray that those still missing are found unharmed.
House Republicans just passed Trump’s Big Ugly Bill.
A bill that takes away health care for over 17 million Americans, closes hospitals, raises utility bills, explodes the deficit, and gives a trillion dollar handout to the wealthiest people in the country.
This bill is the ultimate betrayal.
The American people won’t forget how Republicans voted to eliminate their health care and jack up their energy bills — all to give tax breaks to the wealthiest people in the country.
Trump’s Big Ugly Bill is the ultimate betrayal. But the fight’s not over yet.
Senate Republicans just voted to let President Trump and his billionaire buddies steal from working families in order to cut their own taxes by trillions of dollars.
How far are Republicans willing to go to secure tax breaks for their billionaire buddies?
Cutting more than $1 TRILLION from Medicaid and kicking 17 million people off of their health care.
Trump and Republicans are putting health care, nutrition assistance, hospitals, and even public lands on the chopping block all to give tax breaks to their billionaire donors.
They are robbing working families blind while they help the rich get richer.
Democrats are fighting back.
After being told no, Republicans are *still* trying to use their Big Ugly Bill to sell off and destroy our public lands.
I'm going to fight like hell to stop it.
Trump and Republicans are selling out our country’s poorest children to give tax breaks to billionaires with their Big Ugly Bill.
Shameful.

Doctors — not the Supreme Court — should be making medical decisions. Once again, the Court has overruled medical experts, this time telling parents and physicians what care kids can and can’t receive. www.cbsnews.com/news/supreme...
🗣️REMINDER: Trump and Republicans are still trying to pass their 3 TRILLION dollar spending bill that would kick 16 million people off of their health insurance and literally take lunches away from school children.
We can’t let them get away with it.
As I’ve been saying, California is just the test case.
Trump is now saying the quiet part out loud: blue cities and states are being specifically targeted to stoke fear, violence, and chaos — all to punish the people that didn’t vote for him.
If this is how this administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, and to day laborers throughout California and across the country.
We will hold this administration accountable.
If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they can do to any American that dares to speak up. We will hold this administration accountable.
California is home to the most immigrants out of any state in the nation.
We also have the strongest economy out of any state in the nation.
Not despite our immigrant population –– but because of it.
If Donald Trump gets away with deploying the National Guard and Marines into LA without clear authority or justification, he won’t stop there.
This isn’t just an attack on Los Angeles — it’s a test run for using the military against any American city he chooses.
Trump denying women emergency health care is not "pro-life" –– it's regressive and dangerous. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/03/u...
2.4 TRILLION dollars.
That's how much Trump's ugly spending bill is going to cost us — all so the ultra-wealthy can collect their tax benefits while 10.9 MILLION children and families get kicked off health care. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...
Harvey Milk's legacy will not be erased by Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's petty culture wars and attempts to undermine the tremendous contributions and service of the LGBTQ+ community to our country.
My heart is with the Jewish community in Boulder after yesterday’s tragic antisemitic terror attack.
We must stand united against hate in all its forms. www.usatoday.com/story/news/n...
Happy Pride Month, California!
This month and every month, I stand with the LGBTQ+ community—and I’ll never stop fighting for your right to live openly, authentically, and safely. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
🇺🇸This Memorial Day, we honor and mourn the servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving up their lives for our freedom.
Their service, sacrifice, and bravery will never be forgotten.
George Floyd –– like too many others –– should still be here.
On the anniversary of his death, we must recommit to demanding justice, accountability, and an end to prejudice and hate in our justice system.
I joined @marceelias this week to talk all things voting rights, blocking the Republican SAVE Act, DOGE inefficiency, and more!

Yesterday, Republicans in the Senate tried to jam through the SAVE Act –– which would lead to the disenfranchisement of millions of eligible American citizens if passed.
I blocked it.
Republicans want to overturn half a century of precedent to undermine California’s ability to protect the health of our residents.
Why?
Because to them, it’s more important to appease big oil than it is for your kid to breathe clean air.
As far as Republicans are concerned, the biggest issue facing our nation is that the rich aren't rich enough.
That's why they're trying to gut Medicaid despite millions of Americans relying on it for their health care.
To give tax breaks to billionaires.
I won’t sit back and watch as extremist Republicans in the White House and in Congress try to undermine our democracy.
I’m leading the fight to stop this anti-voter agenda.
Medicaid is a lifeline for millions of Americans –– including children and the elderly.
Gutting it should be a non-starter, but for Republicans it's the first item on the chopping block.
