Yeah ordinarily I'd say yes but the combat in this case is a tutorial and the driving is a races/ring challenges with the unarmed vehicles. Later vehicle missions are a lot better for sure

I'm replaying Jak 3 for the first time in a decade and I forgot how rough the beginning is. You start off with a combat tutorial + 2 weapons and then get thrown into a series of clunky vehicle races and a button pressing mini game. Strange to start an action platformer with no action or platforming

Part of my beef with liveservice games is the wasted potential.

A game with a really cool concept could be destroyed by a grindy gameplay to encourage people to spend money or lock cool characters behind a paywall.

Not to mention a good IP/studio having resources diverted to making such a game

I refuse to play Avowed simply because Windows game me a pop up ad for it on the taskbar. I thought I had accidentally installed adware.

Dreams on PC would be amazing. It felt weird on the PS4 because the creator was so powerful. On the PC it would suit well as a simple game engine and make external exporting etc more feasible.
