I’ve spent the last few years trying to figure out how to use as few of the cheapest tokens possible to deliver the greatest results. I really dislike the tokens burned badge of honour that many orgs use now to show how much they’re “using AI”.

As enshittification increases, maybe soon the meat sack model that gained consciousness many thousands of years ago will find favour again.
Against all the horror going on in the world today this is pretty awesome awe inspiring stuff.
Off the scale bravery in the sky and intellect on the ground. 👏
Seeing if I can bring back my intel MacBook Pro with Omarchy. I hadn’t opened the lid in so long the plastic seal had started to perish and stuck itself shut.
Also realised I have to work around the no ports issue for installing from usb.
Still a great computer and I still love the touch bar.
I’m pretty sure every post on LinkedIn is AI generated or enhanced now. LLMs are already talking en mass to other LLMs.
Seeing young kids who can’t yet spell interact with their devices using voice is pretty cool.
More so that they figure out how to do it themselves. It’s totally normal to them.
That’s said, seeing them progress to interacting with strangers online is horrifying…
This seems good news but there’s irony in that I can’t seem to find an article about it that’s not paywalled.
@edent.tel I’ve been in the club for a long time. 😉
This is an important read. It shows how easy it is to get caught out and the creativity/subtlety of the attack methods in play.

I think it’s good we’re going to be having many more conversations about vibe coding vs agentic development.
I quit writing in LinkedIn at the beginning of the year and have been focusing on my blog www.askinner.dev
Not Pulitzer winning content but I do my best.
No other image says “we should all get along better than we do” better than this.
I’m sitting in the local artisan bakery watching people come in to pick up super expensive pastry pre orders they’ve made for Easter. There’s hundreds of them, It’s no surprise really that inflation is going up and up. I honestly don’t know where all the money is coming from.
Tailscale has saved me from this many times.
My iTunes setup is broken. I have years and years of music in my library both mp3 and apple cloud stuff but it now refuses to sync any new music across my devices. I cannot face starting again with my library. I have many failed syncs but I don’t know which is causing the issue (if any). Any ideas?
So someone’s blocked the toilet in the Artemis II already? Tbh, I’m not surprised it got a lot of use going up.
The vibe coded web tool is the new excel spreadsheet. #amirite
Maybe it’s not a creativity bottleneck per se, maybe the bar for “crazy” has just been significantly raised in recent times.
Just woke up. Are we on the way to the moon yet?
Same here. I can get a second hand $16gb x86 box for AU$50 - $100 on marketplace - spinning disk though and obviously no GPIO etc. which is why I normally use a pi.
3 rounds in and I don’t hold much hope of a Port grand final so at least this is something to look forward to. 🏈🏟️🍐
I was taught at university many years ago that coding was the tip of the iceberg when it came to creating software.
The work only really starts once you’ve made the software.
Now we’re potentially going to have 10x more software it’s no surprise really that more people are needed.
I’ve always started my day in a cafe.
It’s the quiet time. I sit and read what’s been going on in the last 24 hours. Do the daily wordle and/or crossword etc before the onslaught of the day.
Now I use the time to think, design and write my plan.md files for my agents to execute that day. 🤣
I’m at the start of the somewhat humbling and painful process of trying to undo the effects of 50 years of not really looking after myself.
It feels insurmountable but I keep saying to myself I have to do this now because one day I won’t be able to — and honestly, that day has never felt closer.
What are the chances that the Australian government will review reducing their solar battery contribution this May?
Zero I suspect.
Last night, I was sitting in the dark during another power cut really wishing I had some battery storage at home. I think I’m going to have to fix that.
At the very least I need a new UPS.
There’s a lot not to like about substack but one thing that does put them above other newsletter providers is you can subscribe to newsletters via rss.

Did it ever make it beyond the US App Store? I think this is a non story for most of the world.
Maybe now’s the time to shift from software engineer to ai hardware engineer.
Whaaaat. Is it really that deep? I just thought it was being obvious not that it had some subtext.
