Going to keep sharing this, because something I heard from sources is many felt like, after SNAP paused for the first time ever over the fall when the Trump admin refused to fund benefits, lots of people were talking about it. Now, people are still struggling but it feels like attention moved on.

If you were around the KY/VA border  on HWY 23 last Friday, you might have heard the sounds of an Appalachian shindig in downtown Pound. Pound, usually known for having almost lost its charter because of widespread corruption, is now showing up as a leader in true community-led revitalization. 1/5

As Contract Negotiations Drag On, Texas Starbucks Workers Have Learned the Power of Organizing “We have an in everywhere. It's not hard to talk to other people that do the same thing that you do on a daily basis, and oftentimes they have the same grievances that you do."

New from @josephinelee.bsky.social: It’s the fastest-growing union campaign in modern history. Workers at 29 Texas Starbucks stores have unionized since June 2022. Nationally, that figure stands at 582, out of nearly 17,000, according to a spokesperson at Starbucks Workers United.

This is a great read about Union Now, the national labor organizing fund that could be central to serious, large-scale efforts to turn the tide in favor of workers.

this sounds kinda like a "who cares" achievement but its a very exciting milestone for rich guys who are extremely invested in a future where robots they control are slavedrivers and prison guards for the rest of the human population

If this weren't so horrifying, the idea of the Palantir dweebs as the standard-bearers for a "culture producing vital advances" would be beyond fucking hilarious

Boston started showing signs of life towards the end of the second period, and now they've scored a second goal. Not sure what's going on with the Victoire.

Corporations & the government are turning the US into one giant "sacrifice zone." It’s staggering how many working-class people I've spoken to @therealnews.com in towns/cities who are being poisoned by toxic explosions, train derailments, data centers, industrial runoff, etc...this is a major crisis

Genuine question: after 6 weeks of bombing Iran, the US has almost run out of Tomahawk missiles, and their Navy is running out of food. Car companies are being asked to make weapons. Other public spending is being slashed to bits. What the hell is their $1 trillion a year military budget spent on?
