I think it depends whether they can put on a voice or not

the never get to hear TRIARII even once challenge run
hearing TRIARII is what matters
I love the set dressing in this and Realms of the Haunting. So many perfect dioramas.
I wish there were more of these but sadly it was 1996 and we all died of spritephobia shortly afterward
agreed. feeding animations made for cartoon characters to photorealistic homunculi is just a weird concept, and the results look exactly like you'd assume they would. they're not a disaster, but the mismatch is constant. animation is not a modular mix-and-match format
I am firmly pro-spider and most of the ones in the game are big and fun. but the sneaky little ones in that one autumnal lake area scared me more than a game has in a very long time
same, until he shot lightning. he's a hypocrite
love seeing waking the witch this high. she is so good at horror
(The actual worst bit was the sliding block puzzle on the door to the final boss, but I have to admit I can actually imagine Team Silent doing that)
Maybe it's like a reverse SH Homecoming. That one was pretty passable until near the end you suddenly find yourself in a "survive having your knees drilled" minigame, then a boss fight against a grinning Harvey Pekar waving a circular saw around
I am curious about what the actual game is like; at the time I was so mad at the intro going full call of duty atrocity cam that I threw the whole thing on the I hate videogames pile
like, we got a silent hill cold open about stabbing naked phillip seymour hoffman to death. a silent hill had that
thank you for giving her a sanguine expression
sometimes I think about how often "actually I'm not an asshole; you don't know me; don't judge me from an online argument; I'm nice IRL" used to get posted. feels like I haven't seen one of those in ages
it wasn't an apology, but it was less unapologetic, and at least nodded toward social graces
"I don't have sound now but I'll download and listen later" was such a powerful thing. you'd have to listen eventually because otherwise why'd you download it?
a pleasant little sunk-cost trick that was good for musicians and listeners and I really wish there was a streaming-era equivalent of it
six inch below the underground would be a good compilation name. or radio show name. or popularity goal. just a very rich lyric
one trick is to sort the archive by filesize, to single out the ones with vocals. but then you miss out on stuff like "record my voice? with a microphone? as samples? in an XM? are you joking?" in the sample text of an early instrumental. genuine raincoat dot xm foreshadowing
I recently dug through this guy's sample text and learned his real name; he's still making songs (prolifically) but sadly they're very evangelist and very culture war. and just very normal. but there's great lore in his old XMs. searching 'modland fast tracker 2 csm' will lead you to a rich harvest
It's gotta be semantic drift around "dad jokes" that specifically led to this
