Why? Is he that b-b-b-b-bad?

“Look, why can’t we just agree to disagree on whether trans people should be allowed to exist? The unwillingness of trans people to compromise on this is so unreasonable.”
🤬🤮
For a moment I thought “why does the phantom cat have a meat man?” And then the brain cells kicked in…
And of course there are perpetual joke parties like the famous Monster Raving Loony Party (see Lord Buckethead as an example). Sometimes they do surprisingly well, getting more votes than some of the major parties.
Occasionally actual Independents get elected, either because their platform is strong locally or because they catch the public’s imagination. They don’t often last more than one term though.
Well, the current most-left leaning party getting enough votes to be represented in Parliament. There are other left- and right-wing fringe parties, including a host of Reform-lite ones on the right and the UK Socialist Workers Party on the left (who consider themselves Trotskyite IIRC).
Scarfolk Council Public Information Poster reading: From 12nd a January 1973 it will no longer be legal. Whatever you do, don’t. Don’t be one of those people who mistakes doing for not doing or you could face a fine. For more information please reread this poster.
Next time I see him, absolutely.
One men, two mens, many menses
And still 100 people ahead of me at that hour.
I was there before they built any sort of shelter for outdoor queueing. Getting there before 6am to stand in the cold for hours is not an experience I would ever like to repeat.
I wish this was a joke.
I’m not going to get into the mess that is Northern Ireland other than to note that the Democratic Unionist Party are batshit religious troglodytes, and Sinn Fein are the party of former terrorists turned respectable politicians with time.
Scottish National Party: fairly leftist but dedicated to the proposition that an independent Scotland would be just as badly run from Edinburgh as it is now from Westminster so might as well have a go.
Plaid Cymru: a party that exists solely to remind people that *Wales* exists.
Reform: the party for angry entitled white men who think the Tories are too left-wing. Increasingly made up of defectors from the Tories hoping that the voters won’t notice they’re the same people who fucked the country when they were in government. Led by Nigel Farage, corrupt hypocrite.
Greens: the actual left-wing party that enough people vote for to garner a few seats in Parliament. Have finally noticed the giant vacuum on the left caused by Labour and the Lib Dems ignoring leftist voters. Also notoriously ineffectual but showing signs of occasional competence lately.
Liberal Democrat’s: ostensibly left-wing, but of the “nice middle class” type. Shat the bed when they joined the Tories in government in alliance in 2010 and never recovered. The current leader Ed Davies is famous for making videos of himself falling off things. Notorious for being ineffectual.
Tories: like the GOP in that they have been charging from old-school-right to far-far-batshit-right over the past decade or so, with a series of increasingly bad leaders. Notable difference to the GOP is that they are fine with women and minorities leading the party as long as they are bigoted too.
None of the ones that aren’t completely fringe are communist. The rest have shifting to the right in recent years.
Labour: roughly equivalent to the Democrats in that they pretend to be centre-left but are actually centre-right corporatists.
Why do you think he’s so furious about it?
I like to think of it more as a “blow hobby”.
It’s terrible how Western women are constantly demanding things like “equality” and “respect” and “agency”. Who could possibly keep up with all that?

They would rather pay the money, frankly.
Street art painted on a wall and doors of a calf covered in all sorts of colorful patterns. It is lounging on a bun with lettuce, cheese and tomatoes on it. The top of the bun is behind the calf’s head, forming an unlikely halo.
Holy cow!
Florida makes a strong comeback:
She learned how to bluff from her husband Tommy Flanagan.
He had a supermajority in Congress for less than three months, and used it to get ACA passed. And he could not have EOd a national abortion law that “codified” it.
Also: cats are less likely to take on rats, which are big and bitey, than people think. We’d need to release a pack of terriers or similar.
