This link should work, if not it will in a few hours.
I interviewed Joel Simler, the narrator for The Dark Humor Will Continue Until Morale Improves. We talked about how he brings stories to life and finding the best audio booth soundproofing materials in dumpsters.

You're an inspiration. The only words I'm getting at lunch are accidentally spelled in my alphabet soup.
Such an exciting time. Don't forget to bask in it :)
Congrats! That's such a good feeling.
Now you're thinking with gas. 100% pure unleaded thought.
Is the NYC Midnight short story competition worth the steep entry fee? My results were mixed.

What's it like to drive trucks for an elder god? Can you be a good coworker when the corporate AI has it out for you? Who gets to decide if the big red button gets pushed? My new short fiction collection is up for preorder!

Usually I take it to read at IHOP and see if they give it the special menu.
TFW the dead "soup tubers" you invent to prank your cohost come back to haunt you during a pantry audit. You know? Normal podcast stuff. RIP to Sam Soup, a powerful paranormal force in the soup community.

Fantastic album and a great writing soundtrack.
I really like www.abctales.com. They have an awesome community of moderators and writers.
I've been posting there for the last 10 years and used it to work out drafts of a few of my novels.
Indiana Jones + The Mummy (1999) + Whiskey. Nick Ventner is damned good at hunting creatures that shouldn't exist. This first adventure sees him exploring a dangerous mountain range in search of the mythical yeti.

Hot damn, this cover from @markerslinger.bsky.social is coming along nicely. This captures the pulp adventure feel of Whiteout perfectly. Can't wait for the final product, and can't wait for the brand new audiobook.

Finally getting around to the new Dan Brown book. It's the same fast popcorn reading it's always been and I'm here for it.
I think I ended up racking up 49 rejections on my manuscript that ended up getting published last year. It only takes one person to like it!
Can you imagine if they had the strength in their convictions to do all dialogue in phonetic Yautja?
"Click click roooooar" said the predator.
Some of that Predator fiction hits. Children of Dune is on my TBR pile as well.
He was really incredible at finding the humor in even the darkest moments while also giving the subject the gravity it deserved. A weird f***, but one of my favorite weird f***s.
Dang you covered a lot of ground. Is there whiplash ping-ponging between all the genres? Or is it just a nice change of pace with each read?
Working with Zombies is a messy business. Frank was doing his best though.
WIP from the next novel in my adventure series, The Nick Ventner Adventures.
I wrote a grand total of 0 words this weekend, but Alan had a great time, so we'll call it a win. Sometimes, taking a weekend off to live makes better words later (see?).

Sometimes my creative muse drives me to write novels. Other times, it pushes me in the direction of making fake soup haunting videos to troll my podcast cohost. Gotta follow it where it leads 😂

The blues are real, but I find some of the best writing is just on the other side of them :).
I'm hoping AI detectors continue to get better and platforms continue to flag it to consumers. It was hard to stand out on a digital shelf before and it's only getting harder with all the slop.
