Sec. Hegseth: "It's Just Gay" To Require Our Warriors To Wash Hands After Using The Bathroom
The task of de-Trumpification of science and public health will take a generation and a "Marshall Plan" to rebuild. Without a bold, expansive vision to guide us, there is no coming back. Small-bore, poll-tested versions of the future will not help us. www.thenation.com/article/soci...
A photo of a standard dwarf bearded iris, wait for me. Yellow iris, with heavily veined purple falls.
A photo of a very beat up iris confusa. A small purple iris with white and yellow markings in the center of the bloom.
A photo of a tulip in bloom, I think this is absalom. I am always surprised when it comes back as it is not planted in the best place. I may finally get around to tagging it and relocating it this year! Anyway, this ane is a deep red broken tulip with copper and mauve tones.
A photo of the iris tegan! Rove this little guy, beautiful aqua color on the falls, and fluffy yellow beards.
Blooms today! Did a ton of work in the garden today, really getting settled into spring and allllllll the work ahead! 🌱🌷
It’s as if the Iran war was fought to sustain the Russian economy. Lifting sanctions for Russians does nothing for Americans. It just makes it easier for Russia to continue its war in Ukraine.
Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.

I knew they’d destroy it.
Heartbreaking description of the pointless, thoughtless damage being done to the Kennedy Center. It was such an important part of life in Washington, and is now being destroyed for no reason

The Boundary Waters environment protection in Minnesota is being voted on this morning, nothing is off limits to this mobliarchy
Just called Grassley's and Ernst's DC offices to oppose mining in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, FFS.
The bill would also prevent future administrations from reasserting protections! WHO DOES THIS KIND OF THING??
Please call. It's coming up for discussion and vote within the hour. Thank you!
After Senator Tina Smith staged a protest Wednesday night to block a vote on a bill that would allow mining in the Boundary Waters, the U.S. Senate is now scheduled to vote on that bill Thursday morning.
Map showing the pollution a proposed copper-nickel mine would have on the Boundary Waters, Voyageurs National Park and Quetico Provincial Park.
The Boundary Waters don’t just belong to Minnesotans. They’re the birthright of every single American.
Why would we let a foreign mining company ruin them just so they can mine OUR resources, ship them off to China and enrich their shareholders?
Photo of my desk with a boundary waters canoe area forest service sign next to the Minnesota state flag and a framed photo of my parents.
Since they’re abusing the Congressional Review Act to get around the filibuster, I am reserving some of my time so I can make closing remarks in the morning before the final vote. Maybe they’ll listen to reason after a night’s sleep.
Stay tuned.
Save the Boundary Waters.
