Yeah I can relate, My videos don’t nearly perform how they used to on release, unless it’s a Balatro video in which they average 1K views which is nice until I release another video and due to them performing not as well YouTube just assumes my channel is dying, can’t trust the views anymore tbh.

I changed my username to Britdan and it was the best decision I ever made, I’d say go for it, shorter is sweeter.

Thanks for another amazing year, it's been a really tough year for everyone I think, With AI and all that it all just seems more and more hopeless, but as long as we stick together everything will be ok.

In 2026 I have 2 main goals, make more varied content like I was supposed to do last year and focus more on my actual life now, Im 23 and I need to find a new job and now I have a licence and car, I need to start working on moving out of my parents house.

Misc - Recap & Plans

I wanted to do more collabs and I kinda did, I helped Williamfrog create the Kirby (V4) Trailer and I continued uploading to The Three Susketeers. Imo I did not achieve my goal of making more varied content.

In 2026 I don't plan to make a 2nd game but I want to prototype some ideas more, things I've thought of and never done, then if those ideas turn into games then that is fantastic!

In 2026 I will partake in the Love2d Game Jam once again, Not aiming for 1st because that would stress me out, I will be having at least 1 break day during the jam to relax as I always burn myself out afterwards.

I once again took part in the Love2d Game Jam and got 2ND PLACE!!! Which I was very surprised about, I'm very happy with the game but there are a few things I would change next time. The puzzles are a little ass.

Because of this my plans from the last recap went out the window too, so here is my actual plans this year.

Make what I want, when I want.

When inspiration strikes, I will make something, and I will likely start making small scoped projects to remedy this.

Mari0 Recap & Plans

I did nothing. Well that's a bit harsh but it's kind of true, I was working on a new mappack which was meant to be a send-off to mari0 as I planned to quit. But plans have changed and that is no longer the case, leaving the mappack in limbo.

For 2026, I was to make as many videos as I feel, the only thing I want to aim for is more quality, I also want to make every video different from the last this year, no reusing ideas or playing the same type of games. I will also aim to stream for a total of 20 Hours in one way or another.

I released only 5 videos this year, but did do a streaming month where I streamed for an average of 2 hours per stream, 12 streams total, I aimed for 9 longform videos in 2025 and I was never going to, I am done with going quantity over quality.

Marginal improvement in watch time, and stuck closer to last years views, I was never going to gain 300 subs again so I'm happy with that. Overall not an amazing result but one I'm happy with
