Im running D&D for new players. The players were not wanting to math. I get it, the apps make it easy. Its hard to explain... but rolling a 20 on an APP vs Dice doesn't quite feel the same. I setup dice towers. Several people actually got to experience critical hits and have been converted!! Score!!

I know... so sad... I mean in 5E you add what 2 numbers. A digital.20 and rolling a 20 not the same.

You right it doesn't need to be fancy. Regular dry erase battle map is enough. It makes.me.sad the newbies have no desire to use dice. D&d beyond does the math for them. Its kills me just a little.

I had sound hooked up so it added a whole new layer of terror .. motion sensor tracking the aliens.

Recently got one of them gaming tables with the touch screen. I prefer old school but its fun sometimes to do both. Was perfect for my Alien game.

Me too forever GM.. Run a 5E for newbies with 5 gane under their belt. Saturday did a 2.5 game was fun dusting off that system. The week before ran Alien for my HS friends that was so fun.

Never is.. do you have the scheduling of death issue. Scheduling always kills the games. Sucks adulting.

Very cool, red box 2E, 2.5E, 3E, 3.5E, 5E, have 5.5E, PF 1E, Star Wars Saga, and Alien. Alien was a surprise and a Lotta fun.
