My scientific observation has determined that the most people want their armpits to smell like Yoshi and the least people want their armpits to smell like Peach

There's very little info about this online, but apparently back in 1979 there was a Lupin III popsicle that you could buy to get a chance to win a Nintendo Block-Kuzushi machine.

I only learned about this when I saw that one of the winning machines was for sale, so I decided to buy it:

I think it's like a rocket pop given the illustration? I think the pack says it has 当たりくし

Oh yeah it's great, easily the best of the Nintendo dedicateds. Designed by Miyamoto!

Gets weirder. Also included in the auction was this. It's a plastic crown on a wooden plaque. Is this connected to the contest prize? Apparently? Maybe? Again, who the hell knows! No maker's markings, no mention of it anywhere.

This crumbling-to-bits piece of nearly 50-year-old paper, the notification to the prize winner, is the only piece of evidence tying this to the Lupin III contest.

This thing is weird. It's in a custom wooden case with metal hinges. Is this how it was shipped?!

Who knows! There's zero info about this item online, no other examples, no descriptions I can find.

(That said, in this case many/most of those games truly were "Blockbuster exclusives" but in all of those cases you'd find some concrete evidence of it like a press release from Blockbuster.)

Daikatana Finally Ships for the Nintendo 64 Kemco is shipping Daikatana for the N64 to retailers.

I'm always skeptical when I hear games get labeled as "Blockbuster exclusives" since I often find that this gets applied to
-games that were made available to other rental stores
-timed Blockbuster exclusives
-not exclusive at all

Daikatana at least was timed: www.gamespot.com/articles/dai...

@krugman.net Hi! Can I DM you about a PC-98 game that I think is undumped, but I just want to verify and get your expert opinion on the situation?

Plus, the lead's not insurmountable if they Cliff Clavin. You gotta account for that.

Just finished getting stuff ready for this. Lots of NES if that's what you're into plus random SNES, PS1, GameCube, PS2, Game Boy, Genesis, etc. Super Famicom and Famicom too. The more people show up the more fun it will be!
