I often think people get sick of me posting about running. The truth is…..running saved me.

The picture on the left was taken in 2022 on my very first run. I was overweight, pre-diabetic and my mental health was in bits. I remember thinking that I’m not going to be able to do it.

I persisted.

I think Lewis has got a fair point as the majority of the British media is right leaning, so why would they be invested in the success of a left leaning party?
It’s abundantly clear that none of the right wing leaning media held the Tory parties to the same standard as they’re holding Labour.

The little man did his second proper #parkrun earlier with myself and the boys around Colwick this morning, one of best PRs in Nottingham.
Super proud of him, running his 2nd 5km in a fortnight!

Had a brilliant trip to the Trent this morning for Victoria Embankment #parkrun - the little man did his first ever (proper) parkrun!
Great course, fab marshals, wonderfully inclusive (BSL 1st timers briefing and visually impaired support runners), Easter vibes & high viz heroes!

Drilling for more oil & gas in the North Sea won't lower bills, it won't make us more energy independent and it won't insulate us from price shocks.

A Labour backslide on this would be a huge betrayal.

Double down on renewables. Insulate every home. Lower bills, permanently.

Final point, marshals were brill (as usual), and the race director was a good laugh during the briefing! #hivizheroes

On the positive, the cafe and facilities are great, carpark is huge, and as I’ve said it’s beautiful.

But Colwick Parkrun is over the Trent (so close I could see their Parkrunners in the carpark), that’s also flat and much more engaging to run.

Might do the new Victoria Embankment soon…

Really mixed feelings about Holme Pierrepoint #parkrun this morning…

It’s beautiful, flat, but boring.
And you pay to park.
This morning they measured distance on the B course incorrectly, I think the top 10 ran about 4.5km before they increased the distance mid run. 🫤

I’m not rushing back here.
