It’s not really funny, but I continuously get the most inapproriate pitches from a bunch of AI companies with a request for reply Yes/No/Unsub. They are plain text and hence get through my usual spam filters. But talk about advertising how appalling their use of AI is…

It’ll be a money pit. Like the “arch”.
Yes, the paradox of artistic talent. But I’m sure there is nothing she (or you would wish for her) would rather be doing. Break a leg!
Clearly unemployable!
Lagging? 2026 has flattened at 33% of normal! This is devastating.
Washington Post story on the devastating destruction of US science with particular focus on disenfranchising women and minorities and the use of multiple year funding (MYF) as a means to throttle numbers of grants. The advert above if for MYF language learning software.
This has to be the best advertising link ever.
Looks a bit like a case of mansplaining. Beautiful birds.
The actor/writer and... artist? 👏
Commission a painting of that!
Not helped by the fact that the Nazi’s and Soviets expropriated the term for their own devices, followed by JE Hoover and Joe McCarthy redefining “anti-American” as anyone with compassion for others, through to ridiculousness of demonizing Woke and AntI-Fascist. What are they so scared of, exactly?
Too easy. USA men’s hockey dressing room after the final. Case dismissed.
This is a devious plan. Sharply reduce grant numbers without deflating the budget (via MYF). Because they know most scientists can’t survive 2-3 years of zero funding. It self corrects and future budgets will be resized to the reduced capacity. Ditto NSF, NASA. The progressive USA is being shrunk.

Self-referential circuits is a far better term than Large Language Libraries. An enclosed system will solidify its boundaries rather than expand them. Status Woe.
Do you pull the floating dock towards the bank when using it?
The tactics of the tech bro companies pushing agentic AI certainly feels like “the first dose is free”. But they’re counting on the technology becoming essential. Drug dealing couldn’t survive if everyone was high. There will be an expensive reckoning.
At long last, we’ve found the “duh” gene.
Largely limits applicants to two attempts (at all career stages).
The iconic van that accompanied Terry Fox on his Marathon of Hope is on view at the Steele Wheels Motor Museum. The 1980 Ford Econoline, now known as the ‘Van of Hope,’

Am not entirely sure.
An unfair comparison since Henry had twice as many wives though not as many golf courses/cemeteries.

It’s clearly a Steve Martin “wild and sexy guy” hairdo!
Rehyprofited.
130g of HST?
Exactly. Bespoke solutions where applicable. There’s been significant success with Canada’s approach to CAR-T technology. 3X faster turnaround at <30% of the cost. We can do this.
But the opposite is also true. There’s a lot of fantastic science being done that can work with messy, real world data and iteratively distill connections that are very useful. The error, I think, is in selling AI as hyperscalable. It’s clearly not. But that doesn't mean it does have promise.
I simply don’t understand the Sam Altman’s of the world thinking he’s going to be applauded for saying that we’ll all be so much better off without jobs. First, that’s not going to happen and second, the hubris will implode as the investors realise it’s not going to happen.
There are many new applications for AI that don’t involve dystopian power grabs. It’s all information. Our brains assimilate a deluge of raw data through our senses and make decisions unconsciously. We can be fooled and that’s why we check and validate.
