Keep seeing structured notes from banks, which are subordinated debt. My $0.02... they should offer returns equal to the note's expected return PLUS the bank's subordinated debt yield.

In practice, they often (usually?) pay less than expected return.

I think there is a decent (not likely) chance Soto opts out of this deal after 5 years.

He’ll only be 31 earning $55mm nominal each of the next ten years.

If he produces as expected, it will be a function of what contracts look like at that point.
