Yeah, it's a framing that aligns more with what I find experientially interesting about games (as opposed to the ludology branches of the tree). I'd recommend 'Game Poems: Videogame Design as Lyric Practice' by Jordan Magnuson, it's a nice overview with some good references
I released Mothwing in 2022, a short, abstract visual novel thing. It's the closest I've come to making a 'game poem', a form and sensibility I've been thinking about a lot lately
