Statement from Tristan Kern de Gonzales
Husband of Jonathan Joss

My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.

Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic.

When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw.

While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired.

Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life.

Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get. We were newlyweds. We picked Valentines Day. We were in the process of looking for a trailer and planning our future.

He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other.

I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved.

To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family.

My focus now is on protecting Jonathan’s legacy and honoring the life we built together.

If your concern is how someone coped with trauma or how loudly they speak when recounting injustice and being ignored by authorities then you never truly cared about my husband.

Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward. I will protect what he built.

Jonathan Joss--voice actor of John Redcorn from King of the Hill, and Ken Hotate from Parks and Rec--was killed in a homophobic hate crime today.

I'm so angry.

This is your regular reminder that executive orders are not royal decrees. Because America has no king.

I'm a proud Alum of Transylvania University! And this bat is specifically the Rafinesque's big-eard bat named after the former professor of who cursed the university and is allegedly buried in the crypt inside the admin building.

BE CAREFUL WHO IS IN YOUR GROUP CHATS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE OTHER DAY, I TEXTED "GONNA KILL HERAKLES AFTER 12 TRAGIC LABORS" AND INCLUDED NONE OTHER THAN HERAKLES. AN HONEST MISTAKE. I WILL KILL HERAKLES'S WIFE INSTEAD.

Federal Cuts Prompt Johns Hopkins to Cut More Than 2,000 Workers The university, a leader in scientific research, has been hard hit by the Trump administration’s cuts, which will slash at least $800 million from its budget.

Sure, this is bad for Johns Hopkins, bad for its employees, bad for America, bad for the world, but that's just the price we have to pay for the eugenics project of bored billionaires who long for the good old days of apartheid.

This is who we have always been, but quietly, behind white hoods and closed doors. Now it's out in the open and people still don't care.

Meanwhile, there were all sorts of cries of "why didn't those terrible democrats clap for the cancer kid at the president's address"- apparently children with cancer only matter if they can make the orange menace look good. Noted.

I’m begging Democrats to stop talking about tax breaks for billionaires and the price of eggs! They are firing Air Traffic Controllers, stranding Americans in hostile countries, and getting ready to download our data from the IRS. No one is sitting around thinking “I’m worried about the deficit!”

What the actual *?! The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, the United States DOGE Service, as an entity protected from public records requests and most judicial intervention until at least 2034, by classifying its documents as presidential records.

Hell yeah. Hold the line. This is what we need people to do.

Slow things down, don’t comply in advance so the courts have time to stop them. It’s starting to work.

While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

this is exactly what i’m getting at when i see these people have no understanding of civil society. they do not seem to conceptualize other people as having agency whatsoever.

The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.
