Hello! I’m looking for work, ideally in an editor role. It’s been an honor to work with so many talented professionals, and a pleasure to meet so many amazing community members, in my 19 years at BioWare. I’m so grateful to all of you.
@ecwpress.bsky.social has put out some absolutely incredible work this year—I am privileged to be counted among such fine writers.
To further illustrate how small a world CanLit is, I am a friend and former coworker of Sam's, copyedited Suzan's book, and hired Elliott to sub. edit my next MS. :P
You made the absolute most of it there! That’s such a skill
Oooh, I remember this one well! 😊
I reckon it's about time we showed some love to all the book publishers and publishing people who fill our TBRs and introduce us to new authors 💙📚
Suggestions for this pack welcome! 🫶 #BookSky

Amazing! Thank you for doing this! I’d love it if you could include Canadian indie ecwpress.bsky.social. I’m their SFFH editor. 😊
Right?? People figure out pretty quickly that they’re better off self-publishing and having full control. I really hope people don’t fall for it. But now we’ve all made them go viral. 🤦🏼♀️
😭 the best
I’M SCREAMING. He’s perfect!!
When I was a buyer at a large indie, my rule of thumb was:
1 preorder: huh, let me take a closer look at this one
2 preorders: we need to stock this book
3 preorders: we should order enough to face this out
4+ preorders: this should be on front-of-store display
I made a zine! It's dedicated to Palestinian folklore and folk religion. This first issue is the folktale 'The Promise Kept' which comes from Gaza.
It's available for your own set price, or free if you like!

Trident Booksellers! They’re great for SFF books — the owner is an excellent SFF writer — they might even have copies of TWK! When are you going? :)
Anyway, I would love if people picked up my latest release, the weird sci-fi military espionage (??) novel THE SIEGE OF BURNING GRASS or at least read this wonderful @ancillaryreview.bsky.social review!
I love it when people just GET the book, you know?

Hey if you're in Canada I recommend keeping this doc handy. I always share this in my newsletter but since it gets updated daily & I've barely been managing to send a newsletter out once a month lately I'm also sharing it here. Scripts, talking points, news, in-person events, etc.
