I'm finally making serious progress on something that's lived in my head for a long time, and whenever the characters come across differently to how they exist internally, it doesn't feel like their development but my problem implementing it
Odd writing observation: naturally you tend to 'learn who characters are' as you write them, but if a character has lived in your head for long enough, writing them differently doesn't feel like 'learning who they are' but 'writing them wrong'
oh, it's *far* from going to save everything, but it's doing better at it than what else we've tried
