Same director, both rated 6.3 which seems way too low. This is the kind of thing I’m looking for so please don’t reply with Norbit.
I’m interested in compiling a list of great films with ridiculously low scores on IMDb but I don’t really know where to start. I’ve tried googling it but the lists that come back are awful films with deserved low scores. Suggestions or film nominations welcome. I’d say a score of 6/6.5 and below.
I enjoyed this. Awful people being awful to each other. It all escalates a bit too far but I had fun watching.
I understand some of the words here but not all of them.
My grandad had a special leg he used to kick us with.
Special? So it wasn’t real?
No it was a bootleg.
Renny Harlin has a new shark movie opening soon. 👍🏻
Watched a short YouTube video on Laurel & Hardy and someone commented along the lines of “there’s never been a comedy duo like them” and someone replied…
An odd film that works in fits and spurts but too often feels like May wasn’t sure what she wanted. Her original cut was apparently over 3hrs long so this certainly feels like there’s a lot missing. Saying that it’s such a quirky, strange film it’s hard to dislike. I chuckled a few times.
As I said, my memory is saying “it’s ok”. We’ll see.
I saw this film once before about 15 years ago and I can only remember thinking it was ok.

Just started this (only 21 years late!) and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s lightly funny but it’s also kind of sad and that’s a good thing.
It’s utter garbage. Ferrell has made some rubbish but nothing this bad.
Outside of those awful 1970s British sex comedies I can’t remember watching a comedy so devoid of laughs. A shocking script and lifeless, flat direction mean it’s hard to blame the actors but Arkin doesn’t seem to understand the character and spends much of the film shouting. Truly awful.
Dear god I’m struggling with this. Unbearable.
I remember my friend telling me about this back when I was a teenager. I was convinced he was spoofing as I’d never heard of it or knew anyone who’d seen it (pre internet days obvs).
I’m finally watching it and so far it’s PAINFULLY unfunny. I kind of wish he had been spoofing.
Not a fan of the film but this new poster is nice enough.
A film that’s 80% 2 guys talking on the phone, typing or knocking on front doors and it’s absolutely riveting. The leads are great and there’s stunning support from Warden, Robards, Balsam, Holbrook. Superb direction and the most realistic, noisy, lived in press office ever put on film. Terrific.
I had a dream last night that I met Steven Spielberg and the only thing I had for him to sign was a Jaws The Revenge poster.
If you’ve never experienced night terrors you have no idea of the trauma involved.
It’s going to be like I’m watching it for the first time tbh.
I can’t remember the last time I saw this, probably back in the 90s tbh.

Jaysus 🙄
Outraged hospital manager: Who the hell made all these trunk calls?
Hippie orderly: that was the elephant, man.
This is easily in my top 5 “levees break during storm, flooding seaside town, causing a meat packing truck to crash and dump its contents into the sea which attracts loads of sharks into the town who terrorise the locals including a pregnant woman and 3 feisty foster kids” movies of all time.
Supposed to be an absolutely amazing transfer on 4K.
I hope to get to it during the week.
Yeah got mine on Friday 😊👍🏻
