I kind of disagree with this take. Missing a flight is fine if you live near a city with high frequency and lots of airline choices.

But if you live near a smaller airport, modern banked flight operations mean that a missed flight can set you back a lot of money and time.

With all the AI talk and uncertainty about how jobs will look in the future, I can see why people would feel like "yeah, the numbers look good...but I still don't feel like I'm better off or will be better off in the future."

It seems like COVID is the start of a lot of this, but it also seems like we've had a bunch of things on top of that. Supply chain issues, Russia invading Ukraine, constantly being told that AI and robots are going to put everyone out of work, Trump's 2nd term round of tariffs, Iran War, etc

But that’s only because every time I think I have a favorite, I learn about 10 more cool new ones. Or how old ones are being revised due to new evidence.

A combination of things. We used to use a lot of the Rubbermaid plastic containers with the red lids, but over the years we’ve lost (or thrown out…for reasons…) a bunch of them.

Now it’s a mix of round glass storage containers with plastic lids and plastic Chinese food takeout containers.
