No wonder the resident Trump propagandist at CBS didn't want us to see this. It is horrific and shows how deeply lawless and depraved the Trump/Miller administration is.

Senate Republicans want to pass a backdoor abortion ban through the ACA by blocking PRIVATE insurance from covering abortion care.

This is not about Hyde—it's an unprecedented NEW attack on abortion access. Not on my watch.

This week, Senate Republicans gave LIFETIME judicial appointments to more anti-abortion fanatics who support fetal personhood—the dangerous idea that a fetus should have the same rights as a pregnant woman.

They're hoping you don't notice. I won’t let this fly under the radar.

Doesn’t get any clearer than this. We either have a First Amendment and Constitution and free society or we don’t.

Your periodic reminder that mRNA vaccines are a scientific and public health game-changer. Those that have been approved have passed stringent efficacy and safety checks. They protect you and your child against potentially fatal diseases. You may, however, get a sore arm.

Trump's Big Bill Would Let Him Expand His L.A. Immigration Crackdown 'Everywhere' The “Big Beautiful Bill” would give $75 billion to ICE, and allow Trump to carry out militarized immigration raids in “d

One aspect of Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" that isn't getting enough attention?

It would give ICE tens of billions in additional funding to conduct more violent raids and abductions across the country.

A big, ugly, authoritarian nightmare.

Obama turned down a *book* to comply with ethics rules surrounding gifts.

Trump is accepting a jet.

That’s the difference.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

" On April 5th, a 54% tariff goes into effect on a wide range of goods imported from China. For those of us who create boardgames, this is not just a policy change. It's a seismic shift.
At Steve Jackson Games, we are actively assessing what this means for our products, our pricing, and our future plans. We do know that we can't absorb this kind of cost increase without raising prices. We've done our best over the past few years to shield players and retailers from the full brunt of rising freight costs and other increases, but this new tax changes the equation entirely.
Here are the numbers: A product we might have manufactured in China for $3.00 last year could now cost $4.62 before we even ship it across the ocean. Add freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution margins, and that once-$25 game quickly becomes a $40 product. That's not a luxury upcharge; it's survival math.
Some people ask, "Why not manufacture in the U.S.?" I wish we could. But the infrastructure to support full-scale boardgame production – specialty dice making, die-cutting, custom plastic and wood components – doesn't meaningfully exist here yet. I've gotten quotes. I've talked to factories. Even when the willingness is there, the equipment, labor, and timelines simply aren't."

Steve Jackson Games posted this to their blog and the post is getting so many hits their site is effectively crashed but the point is worth repeating

U.S.D.A. Freezes Funding for Maine Amid Battle Over Transgender Athletes The administration concluded last month that Maine had violated federal law by allowing transgender athletes to play on girls’ or women’s teams.

There's a lot going on, God knows, but don't miss that the President of the United States is using the full force of the Federal government, as well as tax dollars, to punish a state because its Governor... refused to do as he instructed.

One thing about today's tariff shitshow is that congress could undo all this nonsense tonight and the damage would still be huge, because these actions have decisively signaled that the US is an unreliable international trading partner—and this impacts political and economic strategy worldwide.

🏳️‍⚧️ Transgender Day of Visibility

I am in awe of the courage it takes to live authentically when transgender, nongender-conforming, and nonbinary people's rights are being threatened.

Join me in fighting for a world where everyone can live with dignity and without fear.
