Ma'am, you are in a red state in a red county, I think my 1 vote in the 2024 general election was a-ok. You are representing your interests just like I am representing mine. But instead of ALL the rich white people stuff, I voted in the interest of my people. Protest vote be damned.

at the end of the day the people that stick around have been in long term services usually or are the people with severity and the others float away, revocation, or end up censured due to non-compliance. It gets exhausting and I think I am burnt out a bit. #socialwork #communitymentalhealth

This really is the darkest time line. I keep turning around and the world seems full of despair and horrible stories. (Yeah its full of good stuff too but we as a species have a negativity bias)

Came here to say this. People who haven't looked into the history of feminism may not be aware of this though. We've come some ways since the suffragettes.

I dunno. I didn't use x for very long but the media talk about it like it's become a wasteland of drama, crisis, and unverified news. Also radical right wingers trying to pick fights for no reason other than being a holes.

I tuned this dude out a long time ago. He's gripping on to whatever helps him stay relevant at this point. Apparently that means going overseas to tell his lame jokes.

As a social worker can I tell you how much I love a good verified resource list? It's the bees knees

This reminds me of the way Buddhism was used to rally the populace in Japan running up to WWII and during.

Like so many #addiction treatment providers, I once saw mandated (i.e. forced) treatment as a "necessary evil."

I don't know when I first internalized the idea that evil is ever "necessary," but I'm working to unlearn it now.

America's First VPN Ban: What Comes Next? YouTube video by Techlore

Hasty age verification laws leave our kids information vulnerable to data breeches. It leads to further use of vpns to circumvent these restrictions which are valid tools in several use cases. It becomes a problem when tools are disallowed because it makes it harder for these people to stay safe.
