Mike at @horrorgeek.bsky.social having a whale of a time dissecting Jess Franco's gorier, sleazier remake of his own earlier gorier, sleazier rip-off of EYES WITHOUT A FACE.
One of his most ear-wormy theme tunes, and one of his best casts (and Chris Mitchum).
Well worth a watch.

I do wonder how people who create lists like this one expect us to react to being put on them. Are we supposed to be upset that a bunch of Elon Musk/Sam Altman apologists don't like us? Because if they think that, I've got some bad news for them 😂

I'm just about old enough to remember when Britain was a serious country.
On the plus side, we do have the likes of @mattgreencomedy.com documenting our slide into facepalming absurdity and utter irrelevance on the world stage😂

“Cheery was aware that Commander Vimes didn't like the phrase 'The innocent have nothing to fear', believing the innocent had everything to fear, mostly from the guilty but in the longer term even more from those who say things like 'The innocent have nothing to fear'.”

As a diabetic, I rarely get to eat much pizza, so when I do get to have one, pretty much anything will hit the spot, as long as it's cooked properly.

Fascinating stuff. Sort of what might happen if Ingmar Bergman wrote and directed an episode of SAPPHIRE AND STEEL.

I can see where you might be coming from, given the source material was written by a man who famously had a beef with HP Lovecraft because he thought HPL was the wrong type of racist.
I'm assuming an initial joke evolved into a genuine video idea? Either way, I look forward to seeing the video.

That was feeble. And a bit grotty.
And wildly inappropriate closing music.
Well done, Julian.

"Stop The Pigeon!"
And, by "Pigeon", I mean Steckler.
And, by "Stop", I mean nail him with a 2-by-4.

Lacing the coffee with Senokot would have been better.
Funnier, at least ;)

Steckler's obviously been watching a few "Roughie" sexploitation movies, and he must have assumed he could make something at least as competent.

Nope. And that's saying a lot, given the quality of most Roughies.

Well, so far the title appears to be truthful. Steckler has definitely killed any thrills in the film up to this point.

At least that has Martine Beswick in it.
But strangely, a lower IMDB rating than this film.

He's definitely an auteur. In the sense of all of his films are basically him working through his neuroses and fantasies.
And, by "working through", I mean "splatting them out all over the screen".
