Kindness costs nothing. However, if manipulation is their game then kindness is removed and caution is evoked.
I had a so called friend be found out as a covert narcissist (love bombing friends in the group, marginalising/excluding etc). When called out did the typical narcissist thing. Victim!
I do not babysit people. I help people where I can as a counsellor. However, if what I say offends then I do not apologise and I wish you all the best in your self imporvement activities

One reason people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up instead of what they have to gain.
This is so true in business as well. However, if the gain is not articulated well enough then people will resist. Business Change Management is the only way to ensure everyone is aware and of the gains.

The end of a module is always brilliant. Students get to test their new skills on a summative assignment, we get to take a group photo and I get to wish them all the best in their education.
