#Meta — Meta has launched legal action against scrapers, while simultaneously being one of the world’s biggest AI developers (Llama, Meta AI). Meta’s own crawler (Meta-ExternalAgent) saw an 843% rise in requests from July 2024 to July 2025 — scraping others at a massive scale.
#Reddit — Introduced steep charges for API access, updated its terms to forbid data scraping, and started blocking crawlers . But here’s the twist: Reddit has licensing deals with Google ($60M/year) and OpenAI — they’re not anti-AI, just anti-free AI.
@linkedin.com (owned by Microsoft) — Blocks AI crawlers , while Microsoft is the single largest investor in OpenAI and deeply integrated into the AI race via Copilot.
#Amazon — Blocks AI crawlers across its properties, while running one of the world’s largest AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Alexa, Titan models).
It’s funny how big tech is pushing #AI everywhere, but also blocking it.

A level of spoon feeding that outweighs the hypothetical time saving. Sometimes the code panics -go- and I immediately know where and what is the problem, AI takes minutes. This on a well-established codebase. Not perfect, not vibe-crap. Using designed and planned generation.
I am now being literally forced to do it and my general feeling is baaaad. I do use AI for testing, rubber ducking, pattern scan, security scans following well-known standards, blueprints, etc.
